Violence loves silence. It seems fitting that the most self-righteous and loudest “defenders” of principles, rights, values, and truths – the Progressives – are the ones who kept quiet and covered up an abuser in their own ranks. They quietly asked him to resign his mandate because he “burned out.” They did not go to the police because “the victim didn’t want to.” And something else, something about the United List as well. Even the Angel (how ironic) himself is explaining an “unethical,” “unprofessional” “incident,” but everything is fine because he is “going to therapy.” How convenient. And how despicable. You have lost all shame, discredited yourselves, and undermined people’s rational perception of everything you have self-righteously and sanctimoniously raged about in recent years – both good and bad.

So. Do I understand correctly? JV also believes that there is a sufficiently serious basis to prohibit Ragozin from continuing to stay in LV/EU. But it will not use the instrument whose application does not require waiting for the VDD opinion and which cannot be appealed in court. Because - "undisclosable reasons". Yes? https://t.co/PNsHOsHAvz

I see that Kulbergs is already for the second time showing in debates a table prepared by the Ministry of Finance (FM logo in the corner of the table) on the fiscal impact of parties' promises. Is that now some new task for @Finmin? Is the methodology of this table publicly available?

I'm genuinely curious — won't the members of the party @Progresivie actually demand any accountability from their board for covering up a sexual abuser? At least ask on what date the party contacted the police, and how to explain that this only happened after it was already clear that concealing and hushing it up would no longer work?

I will note that when Enģelis left his post for 'burnout, personal reasons', his place was taken by @Progresivie board member @Martins_Zvejnks, who, knowing everything, publicly dedicated words to his predecessor - 'good luck and health. I will definitely ask for advice!' Another proof that the board publicly did everything to cover up the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Possible criminal offenses against children are a high priority for the State Police, where a thorough investigation will be conducted. This is not a public slogan. It is and will be careful institutional work so that criminals who commit crimes against children are held accountable.

In a normal society, Mārtiņš Ēņģelis would sink the party @Progresivie, and in the elections it would be swept into the dungheap of history. Not because they have such a member, but because they covered it up.

The third priority task set by the Ministry of Justice has been completed! ✅ The Saeima has adopted the reform to strengthen judicial independence and introduce the position of court lawyer. A person who defends their rights in court may find every month of waiting means uncertainty about their family, job, or company's future. Our duty is to create conditions so that they receive a fair, well-founded judgment within a reasonable time. The reform, advanced together with the Judicial Council, provides: ⚖️ Greater judicial independence. We reduce the minister's involvement in judges' career matters and give the Judicial Council broader powers and responsibility for organising court work and budget planning. ⚖️ Stronger support for judges. We will gradually introduce the position of court lawyer. Qualified lawyers will analyse legal norms and prepare draft rulings, allowing judges to devote more time to hearing cases. ⚖️ A path for the next generation of judges. Work as a court lawyer will provide valuable experience and professional development opportunities. 🗓️ The amendments are planned to take effect on 1 January 2027, with the court lawyer position introduced gradually.

@ProBono_Latvia @AndrisKulbergs @CVK_zinas @JaunsLV pre-election black PR drives up fear and doubt about anything. It feels like you would even have to ask for verification of the authenticity of your own education documents obtained in Latvia.

@Elina_Treija This is a disgusting attempt at defamation, because there is no skeleton (violation) at all. @AndrisKulbergs @CVK_zinas has indicated a Concordia University bachelor's degree, not Riga Business School. It calls for litigation for defamation. @JaunsLV demonstrates a total sense of impunity. https://t.co/ihKBE3IPsS

@Mikipele6 I listened to the debates live. I don't remember Indriksone explaining that. Without comment it looks like vote trading.

@Krusts3 That was not quite the case, because Indriksone did not say “no,” but rather could not decide, because they would have a free vote, and that can also be seen in your photo, where she raised cards of both colors. Meanwhile, the most popular NA politician Dombrava recently said a clear “yes” on TV to the abolition of SK.

@AlksneR @gatisliepin Then professional education in construction is no longer useful for anything after graduating from a State Gymnasium?

@CerinsAivis @gatisliepin Aivi, you should also expand your knowledge. Only college, right?

@Heinrih5 @JurgisLiepnieks @Progresivie Another person in my place would have said that NA is now in coalition not only with trans people, queers, antisemites, Hamasites, Arafatists, pride people and communists, but also with those who cover up pedophilia, but I am polite and will keep quiet.

@JurgisLiepnieks @Progresivie In the case of the Music Academy, when there were only suspicions about a relationship between a lecturer and an (adult) student, the Pro culture minister supported the rector's dismissal. If there are now suspicions that the Pro leadership knew, then who from their leadership will resign today?

Polish FM Sikorski: "Kremlin’s assets frozen in Europe are never going back to Russia. They can be used in the future as war reparations or to help Ukraine rebuild, or they can be used now to help prevent further destruction and make future reconstruction cheaper. Unfortunately, even if the war ends tomorrow, Russia will remain a threat. We cannot afford to once again underestimate the danger of Moscow’s militarism. Europe is not a global empire and does not intend to become one. We don’t need military bases in every corner of the world. We need to be strong enough to deter Putin." - @sikorskiradek
