If the members/leadership of the "Progressives" party knew but did not themselves contact the police and covered up a party member with fabricated resignation reasons, that is complicity in a crime and concealment of a crime within the meaning of the law. The Istanbul Convention on demand in all its glory.

“Diena” published information about the attempts of M. Eņģelis, a former Riga City Council deputy from the party “Progresīvie”, to lead a minor girl into indecency, but the left-wing ideology controlled media “LSM”, “TVNET”, “Delfi” have not republished it, covering up a sex offender. https://t.co/cEOzv5jlK2

You can take the time since the news about Dalbins appeared on LSM's front page and compare whether news about the former Pro council member will even make it to LSM's front page and draw conclusions about the neutrality of the public broadcaster.

I was horrified reading this. Of course, a party cannot know about every member's offenses, but if there really was information, why wasn't it publicly condemned? I would very much like to hear the @progresivie side, because from a party that defends the Istanbul Convention, I expect the highest ethical standards. https://t.co/y3ZNCpZU6c

We will submit amendments to the law to prevent the possibility of retaining dual Latvian-Russian citizenship. The parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Interior, E. Šnore, today offers the parties represented in the Saeima to sign amendments to the Citizenship Law, so that persons like P. Avens cannot simultaneously retain both Latvian and Russian citizenship. I trust that all parties will be ready not only in words but also to practically act against the interests of Russian oligarchs.

🎉Today the Saeima adopted the draft law “Amendments to the Law on Public Electronic Mass Media and Their Management”, meaning that Latvian public media will no longer produce broadcasts in Russian. 📍For me this is a significant day, comparable to the dismantling of the Victory Monument. Four years have passed and finally we have achieved something similar in the media environment. Both as a Saeima deputy and as a minister I have stood for strengthening the Latvian language and increasing national self-confidence, advancing the implementation of these amendments. The foundation of our statehood is the Latvian language as the only state language, and its status is enshrined in the Satversme. Moreover, the Constitutional Court has recognized that the state has a duty to strengthen the use of Latvian in the public space and to promote a unified Latvian information space. We ourselves must increase the significance of our language in a united Latvian society. 🔗More here: https://t.co/atWulv0MkO

Uzbeks who tortured a swan will have to leave Latvia! Remember the case in Carnikava that caused wide public resonance, where two citizens of Uzbekistan were tried for cruel treatment of a swan. On September 22, a convicting judgment came into force, by which the persons were found guilty of committing a crime. Today PMLP decided to annul their temporary residence permits, setting a seven-day deadline for them to leave Latvia. If they do not leave voluntarily, a forced removal procedure will be initiated.

@JurgisLiepnieks @Progresivie In the Music Academy case, when there were only suspicions about a relationship between a lecturer and an (adult) student, the Pro culture minister supported the rector's dismissal. If there are now suspicions that the Pro leadership knew, which of their leaders will resign today?

The new parliament will have to decide whether to keep or denounce the Istanbul Convention. A decisive role will again be played by the parties that last year joined the LPV initiative to denounce the convention. What will the next Saeima do?
