From@liana_langaGood day, hon. @AndrisKulbergs! Do you indeed support de facto bilingualism in Latvia and Russification? This follows from what your conversation partner wrote. Is Bjorka lying? #DeRussifyLatvia It would be good if you clarified during the election period! Thank you! The Constitution states that Latvia has one official language.

15960Although Baiba usually calmly includes Kirkorovs, sportsmen and other celebrities on the list of unwanted persons based on newspaper headlines, their tweets or statements, Ragozin, as befits Re:ЧК's favorite, is subject to a particularly piercing, expensive and long investigation. Why? Well, because it is Baiba Braže and it is Mr. Ragozin. And also because it is JV.
From@Braze_BaibaExactly, Rihard, is the @VL_TBLNNK Minister of the Interior, whose advisor you are, ready to make a decision rather than, in PRO style, shift responsibility to others? The Ministry of the Interior has the mandate, services, information. And on 16.09 my request to provide the necessary information. Go ahead, @RihardsKols, work.

We will submit amendments to the law to prevent the possibility of retaining dual Latvian-Russian citizenship. The parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Interior, E. Šnore, today offers the parties represented in the Saeima to sign amendments to the Citizenship Law, so that persons like P. Avens cannot simultaneously retain both Latvian and Russian citizenship. I trust that all parties will be ready not only in words but also to practically act against the interests of Russian oligarchs.

@KZorins And also Dolgopolovs is a big fan of russian ruble bonds. ⬇️ https://t.co/ibt4aAMkfE
From@MaratQasem❗️ 84-year-old Riga City Council deputy Sergejs Dolgopolovs from Šlesers' party still holds russian bonds in rubles. Apparently even at this age he really believes in the orcs' economy. 🤷🏻♂️ You can find all sorts of things in officials' declarations. For example, it turns out that Riga City Council deputy Sergejs Dolgopolovs from LPV owns russian ruble bonds. 📍 A foreigner who owns russian ruble bonds has in fact lent money either to the aggressor state itself or to a russian company. That means he hopes to regularly receive fixed coupon payments and recover the invested amount by the set maturity, directly investing his money in the russian economy. 😬 The irony is that foreign investors from countries the kremlin considers “unfriendly” have their payments on russian bonds and other securities frozen. 😱 Under putin's decree No. 95, investors like Dolgopolovs cannot freely receive coupon income and repayment of the bond principal, because those funds are forcibly credited to special type C ruble accounts with very strict usage restrictions. 🤦🏻♂️ The amount is supposedly not large, and Sergejs is not a poor man — he could have got rid of this burden long ago. Yet Dolgopolovs for some reason carefully keeps these bonds and lists them in his declaration. 🤝 For honesty, by the way, many thanks to him! Apparently he hopes to one day recover an amount equivalent to 95 euros. ⚠️ A few words about deputy Dolgopolovs, so it is clear who we are talking about. Sergejs Dolgopolovs joined the CPSU in 1967. He was a former head of the state and non-governmental organisations sector of the Central Committee of the Latvian Communist Party. From 1969 to 1974 he worked in the Central Committee of the Latvian Komsomol. 🐝 He has been a Saeima and Riga City Council deputy from PCTVL and the alliance “Saskaņas centrs”, ran in the European Parliament elections from SV, and is currently a member of Šlesers' party. He has been awarded a certificate of honour from the international council of russian compatriots. 📌 In October, when the Saeima elections will take place, in which he will of course also participate, Dolgopolovs will turn 85. Again. A man who will soon be 85 still holds russian government bonds and waits for payments from it. ❓ What do you think — what is more important for such a person: loyalty to Latvia or the hope of one day recovering his pathetic 95 euros from the aggressor state?

We must not forget the expressed will of the Latvian people! https://t.co/kZI54exEOO
@pudzinsh I agree about the part of the funding coming from the state. It needs to be larger, considering the number of athletes and access to sport as such. Even the rich Norwegians do this. But not with the current management team. They have shown in the long run that they are not capable.
From@pudzinsh@CerinsAivis In the football world it is similar to Saeima elections, but the fact that here the LFF budget is the largest among all other sports means nothing, because elsewhere in the world it is among the smallest. In Latvia, the state contributes less to the football budget than to renes sports. ~15k children vs a dozen or so athletes.

From@attistibai🎾 11% of respondents believe that “Latvijas attīstībai” prime ministerial candidate Ivars Ijabs is the most suitable for the post of Prime Minister, according to the latest SKDS data. We have discussed this at the Ministry of Finance. As an entrepreneur, minimum contributions seem unfair to me, because not everyone works full time. But the counterarguments are also strong. First, very many people cheat in such situations - they record fewer hours than actually worked. We have to take into account what society is like. Second, knocking out an additional source of tax revenue in this situation, when the budget is dramatically in the red, is not very realistic. Third, the state somehow has to collect those minimum taxes to ensure social services.
From@KBBergisTime to eliminate the minimum social contributions! The mechanism distorts the system, is full of exceptions and caveats, and has not achieved the goals for which it was introduced. https://t.co/uoDbeIYVlD

We need to produce more electricity ourselves and consume it. That can be done in the medium term. In the short term, consumers must be supported. Meanwhile, as long as the EU imports resources for its energy needs, dependence will remain and that will make the EU weak.
Magazine: Krauze's farm uses an expensive tractor that may belong to a businessman linked to timber industry interests (3)
Very precise... that's exactly how it is. That is exactly why rules are being developed so that funding allocation is clear, so that it has usefulness and conditions for measuring that usefulness, and everything would be open and accessible. So that NGOs would not serve as political pocket organizations. Let NGOs serve real public interests.
From@katrinailjinskaData from LT and EE should be read from the UR, not ministries, but, as far as I know, in both neighboring countries they are not even the same. Remember the history of this issue in LV: I was the first to write that the state spends about 200 million on NGOs, about which the Civic Alliance got indignant, saying that it was not true, not that much. Looking at the data by ministries and programs separately, it can seem that way, because everywhere separately there are some small amounts, a few million each. But at that time I asked Lursoft for the data, and there, in the annual reports, they separate a separate column – subsidies and grants, 100% reliable data. Logically, if accountants post them correctly, then those data match the ministries that provide the funding. After that, the alliance decided to prove that it was not any 200 million, and also asked Lursoft for the data 😀 (they are on their website) and, of course, they matched mine. And only after that @AndrisKulbergs began to investigate and requested data from ministries on all transfers and, of course, the grant and subsidy data there are very similar, although smaller than according to Lursoft. Smaller because the budget data do not include municipal grants to NGOs, but the annual reports do. Consequently, from the state side you can count from whichever end you want, but it will still be 200 million a year, because accountants do not care at all what the program is called and what the source is on the state side. A grant is a grant. The problem is that this is still not everything that is spent on NGOs, because there are also other expenditures that often go as "economic activity", for example, the state buys "courses", that is no longer a grant. That is where the usefulness really has to be looked at...
