Thanks @SAB_LV for open language. Because it is the geopolitical reality that we must reckon with and which it is not in our power to change. What we can do - to be ready for anything within the limits of possibility, and the more ready we are, the more protected we will be! https://t.co/6og3xJSTXi

Ruling parties - get a grip!

Of the 240 thousand euros needed for the first six months of therapy for little Jelgava resident Olivia, just over 60 thousand euros are missing. Negotiations have been started with the drug manufacturer about possibly more favourable purchase conditions and faster delivery to Latvia. https://t.co/PAFOqNv6fH

Exactly, Rihard, is the @VL_TBLNNK Minister of the Interior, whose advisor you are, ready to make a decision rather than, in PRO style, shift responsibility to others? The Ministry of the Interior has the mandate, services, information. And on 16.09 my request to provide the necessary information. Go ahead, @RihardsKols, work.

In the Ragozina case, the question is simple: is Latvia ready to say politically that a person who systematically disseminates messages favourable to Russia and discredits Ukraine is not welcome here. Such a decision is within the competence of the foreign minister and is not appealable, unlike an entry ban, which would be within the competence of the interior minister and is appealable. When loud headlines and quick publicity were needed, there was no problem quickly adding hockey players, musicians and who knows what else to the list (and rightly so!). Meanwhile, when it comes to a person who for years has legitimised the aggressor's foreign policy from Europe and burnished its image, a strange blindness and faint-hearted buck-passing suddenly set in. If the Foreign Ministry is satisfied with Ragozina's activities and statements so far, just say so openly. Blaming the interior minister for shirking responsibility at a time when they themselves are afraid to use the powers clearly delegated by law is simply a sign of weakness.

❗️ In these Saeima elections, a choice must be made: are you for immigration or against. Polls show that 87% of Latvia's residents are concerned about immigration. 🇱🇻 The only party currently in the Saeima that stands against immigration is @VL_TBLNNK. I urge Rīga residents to support the Rīga team led by @IIndriksone, and Vidzeme residents — the Interior Minister @janisdombrava 📨 Make your choice and see you at the polling station!

My choice is a strong Latvia in a safe Europe. I want to live in a free, European, and law-based Latvia. I do not want our country to be governed by mercantile populists whose goal is to align with the East. I confidently support the Riga team of New Unity led by @Braze_Baiba 🇱🇻🇪🇺 https://t.co/1HFuEKbvx6

Another example of why we don't need 'them' in Latvia!

Outrage in France after Bally Bagayoko, the far-left mayor of the country's most infamous no-go zone Saint-Denis joined student rioters who were attacking a high school in the area. He could be seen laughing with them, giving high fives and jumping up and down. Bagayoko is the mayor of 150 000 people, of which around 90% are immigrants, second-generation migrants and third-generation migrants.

Today we met with Riga residents near Vērmanes Garden – we listened to people and explained the most important goals and actions of “Austošā Saule Latvijai” (Rising Sun for Latvia). A Swedish pensioner couple also passed by, and the lady asked what we were doing here. I explained that on Saturday, 3 October, elections are taking place in Latvia. Such small nuances – she asked what kind of elections they were and how many Saeima deputies we have in total. I explained all that. The lady said that they themselves had just had elections and that there has been complete chaos there for years. She asked what kind of party we are – left, centrist, or right? I replied that we are a national right-wing party. She then asked what we stand for and what we want to change. Here I directly mentioned migration from third countries – that we do not just want to “control” it, but completely stop it. Her counter-question was: but how will you live without innovations? I answered directly: they bring no innovations. Then I asked a counter-question – to honestly say whether Sweden has excessive immigration? In return I got the answer that no, there is no migration problem at all! She was completely at peace with the fact that representatives of Somalia, Syria, and other radical countries are joining society. The lady said she had worked in a museum and told me that in the 17th century there had been more migrants in Sweden than now. I did not argue about the numbers, but clearly pointed out the obvious – at that time it was European migration between European countries, not third-country migrants with a radical, aggressive culture and a completely different understanding of human rights and basic hygiene. The lady even agreed with that. This conversation once again confirmed my conviction about which generation is the one that let everything go to hell for the young people and does not even feel guilty – it is the left with their blind political correctness. Facts remain facts, and we will not repeat these mistakes in Latvia.

🇪🇺 A strong Latvia needs a strong and united Europe. The President of the European People's Party (EPP), Manfred Weber @ManfredWeber, stresses the importance of European unity for security, growth and support for Ukraine and expresses support for NEW UNITY in the upcoming elections. 💬 “New UNITY is a European party in Latvia. It has proven this over the past decades, and it will prove it in the future too.”

Began my visit to Riga by laying flowers at the Freedom Monument alongside my colleague @Braze_Baiba. A symbol of Latvia’s independence and sovereignty, it honours those who gave their lives for freedoms that Latvians, like Estonians, had to fight for. Today, Ukrainians are fighting for that same right to live freely and decide their own future. Our support for them remains steadfast.
