@janisdombrava Can't we just revoke his residence permit and instruct the PMLP to do it? In addition, "persona non grata" would also be useful.

Given the fact that Russian citizen L. Ragozin has over a long period of time publicly expressed views that are clearly contrary to Latvia's national interests, I therefore call on the Foreign Minister to include the said person on the list of persons undesirable to the Republic of Latvia (persona non grata). In his public activities, L. Ragozin has: blamed the West for Russia's aggressive actions; spoken about the ineffectiveness of sanctions, calling them provocative towards Russia; tried to justify Russia's aggressive foreign policy by questioning that Russia could have imperialist interests in gaining influence in Ukraine and elsewhere; discredited Ukraine, its political leadership and armed forces. His expressed views have often overlapped with messages intended to reduce Western support for Ukraine; in public activities he has criticised the West and Ukraine. Consequently, his activities can be assessed as aimed at steering Western public opinion in a direction favourable to Russia. Because of such activities, L. Ragozin's political undesirability in Europe (persona non grata) would be justified, but these activities cannot be considered as establishing the circumstances referred to in the Immigration Law that authorise the Minister of the Interior to include a person on the list of foreigners whose entry into the Republic of Latvia is prohibited, therefore I call on the Foreign Minister to take a decision on including this person on the persona non grata list.

🎯 Absolutely agree! Often bureaucracy is used as a cover where it can safely be avoided. https://t.co/aMb7g1UcMt

@Ceslavs_Batna @IIndriksone @didzisdejus @janisdombrava A good way to stall a decision by dragging out formal procedures. Changes to the University Law, of course, should be at least formally coordinated with universities, but in practice — migration policy is not a university matter, and moreover, universities are an interested party.

Never was Stirlitz so close to being unmasked, or That moment when even the list's locomotive points out that for Buldozer the party is not because Latvia is in first place for him, but that Latvia is for him only to build his personal well-being at its expense! https://t.co/wf9xDhdLVT

Andris is a man of his word - a person who gets things done. You can rely on him! https://t.co/W6Yw0rzNgM

A day after my 40th birthday, on 3 October, the 15th Saeima elections will take place. My first Saeima elections were the 9th Saeima elections - back then, at 20 years old and building my life, I voted with confidence and faith that things would get better. Those were the last elections in which I took part with enthusiasm. Subsequent elections were already about the "lesser evil" - for one and the same party. Each time this lesser evil became more and more pessimistic. It seemed - okay, I still have to vote this time, because it is after all a "nationally important moment". Over time you notice that these nationally important moments appear about 3 months before elections (coincidence? I don't think so - humour). Last spring, before the municipal elections, I had already reached the stage of whether to take part in elections at all... At the same time, information reached me about the association "Austošā Saule" and its potential to become a party, and there was a "spark" (reference to the film Hotel Transylvania). I immediately wrote that I would help create this new political party, and so I did - we succeeded. On 23 August 2025, the political party "Austošā Saule Latvijai" was founded. I had never been involved in politics, I was just a voter, but this whole year-long process pulled me in, and now I am already a candidate in the 15th Saeima elections from the Riga list. The first thing I want to say is thank you to the people who make up "Austošā Saule Latvijai". The second thank you - to the people who believe in us and support us. There are many of you, and we truly feel it. Just as people tend to associate times of change in their lives with round anniversaries - I see changes in Latvian politics. Despite all the rubbish and negativity that has come over us from competitors, "opinion leaders" and "independent" media - we have succeeded. So I invite you, your relatives and friends to support change in Latvian politics - to support "Austošā Saule Latvijai" with your vote! Andris Velps Member of the board of "Austošā Saule Latvijai" Number 3 on the Riga list

Strengthening the role of the Russian language in Uzbekistan with Latvian taxpayers’ money. This is exactly what has happened with the co-financing of EUR 11,734 awarded by the Society Integration Foundation (SIF) to the association Centre Marta. The project’s aim is “to promote the involvement and capacity building of Latvian civil society organisations in an international cooperation project aimed at preventing gender-based violence and developing a support system in Uzbekistan, providing methodological tools and training for local NGOs and other interested partners to improve the identification, support and social integration of victims of violence.” The project was implemented in a multilingual environment, and the methodological (!!!) and informational materials are available in Russian and Uzbek. So the methodological materials are in Russian. At a time when Latvia’s budget lacks funds and we are not always able to help our own people, the presence of the Russian language in Uzbekistan is being increased with the resources of the whole society. This case shows once again that SIF must in fact be liquidated or seriously reformed, and things cannot remain as they are.

@SunuJekabs @VL_TBLNNK @IIndriksone @janisdombrava Leaving Riga and getting to Vidzeme sometimes takes 15 min. 😇 You can vote for Jānis in the Vidzeme district: https://t.co/X48El8wWHx.

@EdvardsRatnieks @VL_TBLNNK @IIndriksone @janisdombrava If #Dombrava were to run in Riga, my choice might immediately be for the National Alliance, #Darītājs definitely. I hope he holds on in Vidzeme and gets in.

The Green Course must strengthen Latvia's economy, and its goals must be proportionate to our capabilities. Latvia cannot afford promises worth billions without clear funding. Every decision must be assessed by what it gives people and businesses: more affordable energy, new jobs, and opportunities to develop manufacturing. The implementation of climate goals must go hand in hand with Latvia's competitiveness and energy independence. I advocate a responsible approach: to invest in projects that create value in Latvia and to undertake commitments that we are able to fulfill. Ambitions must be based on calculations, because ultimately society pays for political promises. 🎥 Video: Delfi TV debates “Nākamais lūdzu!” about Latvia's place in the world (23.09.)

This is extremely powerful news for Russia and very good news for us that the UK has expressed readiness to extend its nuclear deterrence protection also to 9 Northern European countries, including Latvia. 🙏
