From@EgleKrista@jautaa_veel Why would "bees" and the other slave drivers pay big salaries to locals for primitive, tedious, boring work—shorten working hours, grant bonuses—if they can bring in thousands of primitive migrants, whose healthcare, children's education, wives' benefits we will pay for with our own taxes?

From@jautaa_veel@JuljansK I don't doubt the loyalty of Uzbek kishlaks to Putin's vassal Mirziyoyev, but they are not needed in Latvia. https://t.co/796aMsrENV

From@LV_visiem@didzisdejus You fools, lay off Butāns. From his speeches in the Saeima and his actions, you can say he is one of the brightest bulbs in the whole Saeima. There, the IQ is all fine. This is simply disgusting witch-hunting... because the media don't like right-wing politicians. Jūlija - that's another matter, or Šuvajevs and Sprūds...

€5,000 for a newborn: in Latvia, debate over whether such election promises will raise the birth rate
Parties have declared 2.6 million euros for campaign agitation so far.
Latvia's extinction spiral - increasing external debt, raising taxes, growing poverty, declining birth rate, import of immigrants from third world countries. Read again. You will be able to vote for the opposite on 3 October. WE CHANGE THE RULES Edvarts Krusts, No. 1 in Zemgale https://t.co/vLECIqfTzL

Latvia stands in full solidarity with our Estonian allies in response to the attack on Milrem Robotics conducted by Russian security services.🇪🇪🇱🇻 Russia knows Article 5 works, so it resorts to terrorism. Our pressure will increase & support for Ukraine will not waver. @Tsahkna https://t.co/6JPjMmBTwV
From@TsahknaBased on the information collected by the Estonian Internal Security Service @kaitsepolitsei we can conclude with certainty that the arson attack on Milrem Robotics premises that took place on the night of 14–15 august in Tallinn was an act of sabotage ordered by the special services of the Russian Federation. Such actions are absolutely unacceptable. In response, the @MFAestonia will today summon Russia’s Chargé d’affaires. The perpetrators have been apprehended and no longer pose a threat to our national security. Estonia is a difficult environment for Russia to carry out such actions because we act decisively and swiftly to protect our state. This act of sabotage is part of Russia’s broader campaign across Europe, aimed at intimidating us and weakening our support for Ukraine. Our response will be the opposite. We will increase both our support for Ukraine and the pressure on Russia to end its aggression. Let’s not lose focus and stay the course, because Russia’s actions are a clear indication that our collective exertion of pressure is working.

From@RihardsKolsToday @IIndriksone said what needed to be said during the FIFA president's visit: as long as Russia continues its war against Ukraine, its return to international football is unacceptable. Future plans for football can be discussed. But with Infantino - the same one who, among other things, is also trying to privatize football - the first thing to discuss is that the aggressor state's return to the fold is unacceptable. At least someone in Riga understood that today. Thank you Ilze for a clear stance. https://t.co/jrJoMEUrKF

"We need to save": minister on medics' demand to raise salaries by 30%
From@suvajevsWhat are the current government's actions to stop this? A week ago, the Saeima supported @Progresivie's draft decision on a transit ban. However, decisions made at government level clearly do not restrict transit flows. https://t.co/DX6XQM3pti

We organised extensive civil defence exercises in four Latvian schools. For years there has been talk about civil defence, but at a practical level it had not been tested how civil defence works in educational institutions. My adviser V. Vecvagaris, together with VUGD, municipalities and educational institutions, organised extensive civil defence exercises in educational institutions in Riga, Liepaja, Jekabpils and Ogre. The first attempt was successful. Such exercises will also need to be organised in other educational institutions.
