From@sygarteAn often overlooked fact of the Oct 7 massacre is that the people killed at the music festival and the kibbutz and surroundings were almost all unarmed left wing Israelis who wanted peace with Palestinians and a 2 state solution. That idea was also killed by Hamas.

@hellikopters @normundsbergs Being polished isn't a bad thing. I even said it's very good if an employee can think outside the box. But the important thing is to work toward a common goal, not sabotage it.
From@hellikopters@martinsstals @normundsbergs I think those polished civil servants just need to be fired and replaced with normal ones.

The leadership of LDDK and LTRK is more active at the political level, and this experience will certainly be very useful, because reaching agreement between ministries is often a matter of a political nature. The concerns are about the ability to manage civil servants, especially in circumstances where the set goals are the reduction of the civil service itself, and very fierce resistance, delay and many different tactics can be expected, which need to be proactively recognized and eradicated.
From@normundsbergs@martinsstals the LDDK and LTRK leadership is also present at thousands of meetings with the sharpest civil servants. It would be a sin to accuse us of ignorance.

Unfortunately, I have observed several episodes where a person writes a false explanation of their actions instead of immediately admitting it, and at that point KNAB no longer has any evidence. This devalues the very meaning of punishment and the rule of law. If someone does not sort this out quickly, the consequences will be growth of the shadow economy and increased emigration - and, in turn, even greater pressure on the state budget.

Respect to Gorkšs! But I would rather have seen him continue his work at LDDK. In turn, for the head of the State Chancellery, experience specifically in state administration is very important. Because, for example, when you have to chair the meeting of state secretaries and you are faced with 13 of the most experienced and polished civil servants in state administration, who will know 101 reasons why something cannot be done, then a political mandate or emotions alone will not be enough. One must have a very high-level knowledge of the legislation in each field in order to effectively lead such ministry leaders. If the idea is that Gruškevics will actually run the most difficult reforms somewhere behind the scenes, then let him come himself and also head the State Chancellery.
From@ltvzinasPolitician Ainārs Šlesers and his party “Latvia First” are ready to support the minority government of Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (“United List”). Šlesers announced this on Latvian Television, in the programme “What is happening in Latvia?”. https://t.co/TO7z5arc65

Respect to Gorkšs – he really could have successfully continued his work at LDDK. However, the question is still about specific experience. For example, when you have to chair a meeting of state secretaries and across from you sit about 20 of the most polished and experienced officials in the state, who will know 101 reasons why something cannot be done, then political framing or emotions alone will not be enough. One must know the legislation of every field at a very high level in order to effectively lead such ministry leaders. If the idea is that Gruškevics will actually run the most difficult reforms somewhere behind the scenes, then let him come himself and also head the State Chancellery.
From@normundsbergsLDDK also received Kaspars cautiously, but he proved to be extremely organized, goal-oriented, and able to learn very quickly. This will be a loss for the employers' organization, but a great gain for the public administration. The lamentations about this, though, are the usual Latvian ones. We spit on everyone. A way of life. https://t.co/TpFg1aA61H
