Kulbergs is outraged: “The choice was stark”

16058In Latvia it is similar. Plus, there is the state administration and the 'non-governmental sector', where all non-working ideas with the mandate of a selfless benefactor are entitled to funding, as much as one fancies. They won't have to pay it back themselves. Those who want to preserve their own land and state will pay it back.
From@DailySowellLeftist ideas don’t work, so they are most common in places where they don’t have to work to survive. Think academia and Hollywood.

Latvia left alone - Kuļbergs on the EU's decision to lift sanctions on Usmanov and Fridman. Riga introduces national sanctions against both.
Kulbergs is outraged about the position Latvia has been put in on the EU sanctions issue.
@IlzeZvidrina Are you deliberately pretending not to understand what is written? Latvian children have teachers who practically do not speak Latvian.
From@IlzeZvidrina@lindberga22 Municipalities, but such is reality. The alternative would be additional bureaucracy (which now is in capital letters everywhere), control from the municipality and the state, taking away from clothes? Children perhaps also talk that way among themselves. So primarily it is still whether they learn Latvian well at school.

From@RenarsKadzulisIn the police, KNAB, and IDB, individual investigators fit crimes to people rather than investigating them. They even destroy exculpatory evidence and falsify facts to achieve what they need. I have gathered enough documentary evidence for the above. It is a deliberately created system. https://t.co/S0a1C5Crqy

@braliskristapsJ well, quite a few would be suitable, I think. For example: @Elina_Treija from NA, unfortunately, is not running, @pucej from LA is running, @smiteroke from VID is not running, @KasparsGorkss LDDK is not running, Rūta Dimanta from @ziedot_lv is not running, and those are the ones I can name off the top of my head without thinking ...
From@braliskristapsJ@JurgisLiepnieks You can from all. You can from those who are running. It would be interesting to hear your opinion.

From@DelfiLVNot only does she not answer, but she gets angry – Jūlija Stepaņenko (SV/AJ) is ironic about whether, with a question about who attacked Ukraine, the show's host wants to earn a journalism award. Stepaņenko believes that "this is not a question" and that it is a journalist's game. At the same time, Rūdolfs Brēmanis answers clearly – the Russian military entered Ukraine. ▶️ Watch "Nākamais, lūdzu!": https://t.co/nirx1Yj4Hr #SIF_MAF2026

Kulbergs is outraged by the situation Latvia has found itself in due to EU sanctions.
Who will make it into the Saeima? September poll showed parties' chances before the elections.
@IlzeZvidrina They speak Russian with Latvian children in a state institution in 2026. Do you think that's an exaggerated reproach?
From@IlzeZvidrina@lindberga22 What was in that story, and what the living conditions there were like. In my opinion, the municipal representatives' genuine surprise at that level of reproach was quite justified.

From@suvajevsThe Finance Minister worked on this slide about budget expenditure for four months. The government has not been able to prepare a single concrete possible action for reducing expenditure. This is not even at 'headline level'. There is complete emptiness here. https://t.co/tKhAGzBO2j

I didn't understand? What am I supposed to watch? What poverty? Millions for immigrants, even those who no longer live in Latvia, but when it comes to giving to Latvians, then there's poverty? And what excuses for continuing the crime of Russification? If there is poverty, it is poverty of conscience and mind! That can be fixed by leaving a post you are unable to fulfil!
From@IlzeZvidrina@lindberga22 I suggest you watch the segment; it wasn't even clear what it was really about. Latvia has relatively high poverty, so one can roughly guess in what conditions some children live in families as a result. On the other hand, films with battle elements were also watched by the previous generation of young people.

Poll: seven political forces could enter the Saeima
From@Elina_TreijaSūVara is on LTV1's airwaves. Turns out there is a superhero named Dārznieks who alone is gathering the storm-felled trees in cemeteries. I wonder how many of the 600 downed trees in Riga's 22 cemeteries he has cleared? Strengthening the Latvian language, mandatory service—all bad. Where do so many willows [Kārkli] among Latvians come from?

We continue to reduce bureaucracy. Fewer formal papers and faster communication.
