Our programme is underpinned by the principle of individual responsibility:
* A new electoral procedure for both Saeima and municipal elections, with voting for specific people rather than party lists.
* A general cleanup of the state administration: the State Civil Service Law is repealed, each state function has clear costs, clear performance indicators and a clear person responsible at every level.
* Directly elected municipal leaders.
* Schools and teachers, not the ministry, have the say.
* Municipalities, not the government, have the final say.
* A people-elected president.
* A micro-enterprise tax (MUN) rate of 10% on turnover up to EUR 50,000 for those who are ready to build a safety cushion for themselves.
* Building permits for private houses are abolished.
P.P.S. On 3 October, we change the rules.
About the first outlines of next year's budget, the review of public procurement, and other topics, this morning on the programme "Rīta Panorāma" there was a conversation with Finance Minister Māris Kučinskis (AS). But this Friday, 25 September, Adrians Kukuvass invites everyone to a concert for his 75th birthday at the Slampes Culture Palace. And at the end of the programme, we will look into Parisian Bohemia together with the people of the Operetta Theatre, who have prepared their own variation of Imre Kálmán's operetta "Monmartras vijolīte".
They used to say that paper endures everything. The paper was followed by a microphone that experienced the same on stage. It turns out that one party can, without blushing, spout blatant nonsense on the state's Channel 1. What kind of followers must this parasitic company have, if they can accept the plundering of the state budget as growth and economic development? Almost every sentence contains deception or outright lies. The existence of this group on the political stage is yet another testament to the weakness of the justice system and the judiciary. There is a substantial bouquet here — large-scale corruption, plundering of the state budget and squandering of property on a mega scale, anti-state activity in weakening the state's defence capabilities and bringing crowds of migrants into Latvia by illegally crossing the state border. All of it is pervaded by shameless sneering cynicism. What else?

Day No. 77 (WEDNESDAY 16 Sept) — Meeting with the President and the Security Council
The day began right away with serious matters: ☀️ Early morning with TV Panorama
🤝 Meeting with the President
➖ We discussed Russian grain transit and the government's plans to stop it
➖ In connection with @airBaltic, we discussed the possibility of postponing ETS aviation fuel CO2 quota payments – an EU decision to freeze CO2 quotas in the aviation sector should be pushed, because combined with the huge impact of the Hormuz conflict on aviation fuel prices (rise from €660/t to €1,800/t), CO2 quotas at the same time will kill small and medium-sized airlines in the EU.
➖ We discussed readiness for the elections
➖ The President announced his visit to the US, where the American ambassador to Latvia has arranged for Latvian entrepreneurs to meet simultaneously with 200 top-level US entrepreneurs for networking and cooperation – a very welcome step, as it confirms our shared desire to change the situation to increase US investment cooperation in economic development.
🏛️ National Security Council (NSC)
➡️ We heard from the Ministry of Justice @EdvardsSmiltens, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development @Edgars_T and the Central Election Commission on readiness to hold safe elections
➡️ All systems have been successfully transferred from VARAM to CVK. Load and cyber tests have been carried out, results are good.
➡️ The elections can take place!
👥 Meeting with a youth organisation at the Drone Centre – where Latvijas Finieris supports drone training and testing with superb premises 💪🇱🇻
@ltvzinas It is unbecoming of LSM to disseminate nonsense. The Prime Minister cannot freeze officials' salaries. In our country, laws are adopted by the Saeima. By order, the Prime Minister can only instruct officials to prepare the relevant draft law. Who knows what other invented heroic deeds will surface during the pre-election period?
We held out heroically! Not even 24 hours had passed when we climbed down from the tree with the whole flag. We are buffoons before the EU and Ukraine. Before everyone… And the name responsible for this is: Baiba Braže. https://t.co/K3mELjLbMR
I’ll say honestly — inside I’m boiling from this injustice.
While the state funds Russian theatres in Latvia and various Russian and Belarusian associations, caring about the culture of foreign peoples, it simply spits on its own Latvian children.
How can there be such a cruel attitude towards children who have already suffered? These children have been removed from their families. They have already been betrayed... And then comes the state, which should be that safe support, but it cannot even provide care for children in their native — Latvian — language.
How can there be such a cretinous attitude towards one’s own people? How?!
The state continues to operate in the finest Soviet traditions and, without the slightest remorse, has provided a Russification camp for Latvian children. Are you really so soft that you cannot find workers who speak Latvian? Or is this a deliberate step?
And this is yet another glaring proof of how deep the state administration has sunk into degradation and destruction. The inability to lead and manage processes is all too obvious.
While the state generously squanders budget funds, financing from SIF the “integration” of immigrants on the basis of the Russian language and studies about how Wolt and Bolt couriers feel, Latvian children are left in such a situation.
In this care centre, the annual budget per child is less than 200 euros!!!
Seriously???
Explain to me how such people can run a state? How can there be such neglect of one’s own country, people and children?
In my view, this is a crime...
Forgive me, but all the old Soviet-style models of governance and of robbing the state, and those who maintain them, must go into the rubbish heap of history!!!
And stop once and for all talking nonsense that there is no money for the state! You have no conscience!
It simply cannot continue like this!!!
