From@Prusis@AndrisVelps First of all, don't consider that a new party not reaching 5% is a bad result.

To help voters make a critical and informed choice in the 15th Saeima elections, Latvian Television offers a series of programs 'Party in Focus', providing a comprehensive insight into party programs and their offers. Based on SKDS public opinion research data, the series includes political forces that reached at least 2% support in early August. This time the program focuses on 'Latvia First'. #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni #Vēlēšanas2026
From@TaisuKremusDMWhen the Progressives came to power, I hoped that cannabis would be decriminalized through them (you could grow a few plants yourself, selling, buying, and holding large amounts would be prohibited) as in almost all of Europe. But no, they painted a few crosswalks, made a scandal, and ruined Rail Baltica. 👺

@instant_mk Impressive is that finally there is a stance not to bend, but to buy what army professionals consider necessary. Currently we have a professional in the AM post, not Münchausen. Second. In the Telia matter, what has been the Swedish position? They are and remain our partners, but there must be a stance.
From@instant_mkSuch a statement from the Swedish Defense Minister is impressive. Here, however, an explanation from the government would be required. How and why was this contract broken? Why were the Swedes let down? https://t.co/oTwDwhf3mN

The party sorting test is a test with very limited answer options. For JKP's answer 'partly agree', the expanded answer would be that a series of systemic improvements need to be made that would result in fewer abortions. A ban or mandatory consultation for a woman would be something imposed and fighting the consequences. The prevailing view in our party is that nothing should be imposed in this context, but the current situation is also not good enough and solutions need to be found. During the 13th Saeima, from the Ministry of Justice, we pushed for stricter rules for alimony defaulters, which was a stronger incentive for the father to take greater responsibility. That could, to some extent, reduce the number of abortions. We must continue to seek the causes and prevent their occurrence, but in no case would JKP vote for any abortion ban or anything imposed in a situation where a woman has already ended up, because some risks were not mitigated before.
From@kruuna@nezobis @JKP_partija @martinsstals, is that true?

@Fertelis ASL Three most important reasons: 1. A clear plan to stop immigration from third countries and ensure that those who have arrived leave; 2. A clear and ambitious economic development plan; 3. A clear plan to promote population renewal and birth rate.
From@FertelisQuestion to '167 internet trolls'. Who to vote for? At least one of these parties needs to be in the Saeima. Maybe both will be, maybe you have to flip a coin - heads - MMN, tails - AS? What if you agreed on one? Which one would you be? 🤔 https://t.co/lxYcQMXr7t

Do you know what's with that 'through'? I remember the 90s. Money and savings evaporated. Track suits and dermantin sneakers cost a month's salary. Fuel wasn't without queues, and it also cost a lot. So what? And nothing, we survived. There are just too many sour-faced people in heads now. Price fluctuates, oh and woe and me and pity. Save me, I'm fainting! We need to stop politically soothing those sourpusses. That's all.
From@IvarsAuzins@guntarsv You're saying it's over with the Germans? NS1 and NS2 will be launched and DE will leave NATO, or what will happen?

From@janisdombrava❗️In the last two months, as many orders for the forced expulsion of foreigners have been issued as were counted together over the last two years❗️ In the last two months, departure orders have been issued in a volume that in other years is issued over a year. This is only the beginning of work to streamline procedures and introduce order in the country in the field of immigration. So far, the forced expulsion orders carried out are at an unsatisfactory volume. The Border Guard has been tasked with providing an explanation of the problems so far in implementing forced expulsion and a requirement to improve practice so that the decisions taken are effectively implemented.

@RVagners @AndrisKulbergs @Apvienotais_ This is not about bans or fighting against someone's personal life. The state does not interfere in the private relationships of two adults in any way. However, the state protects the institution of marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
From@RVagners@AndrisVelps @AndrisKulbergs @Apvienotais_ I will vote for you, but I am not against same-sex marriages. In my opinion, a ban on marrying will not make them less gay, but permission will not make all others gay. All sorts of prides and similar propaganda should be stopped.

There is definitely no such plan. The prospect of raising VAT looms only for 2029 or 2030, if the Saeima remains as stupid as it is now. I don't see it as a solution, rather a capitulation. That's why I don't consider it. Why? Because you can raise it, but can you collect it? Estonia's experience is not exactly good. For them, it has gone sideways for all time. Debt is growing rapidly (though from a low level). They went into absurd politics there. They promised and cut taxes here and there, but significantly increased spending on defense, similar to us. And such an approach is a trap: the deficit increases, debts grow rapidly.
From@simple_avg_Joe@guntarsv Unfortunately, I don't see how expenditures can be cut that way; it's hard to take away what has already been given, so there will be a VAT increase after the elections, because they can shift the blame onto the current idi*ts.
