I agree that it is easy to delegate your wishes to some representatives, but I disagree that we should not "make ideology". There is no objectively best decision. There are priorities of different societal groups, and something must be sacrificed in these choices. For example, nature or investments, benefits or investments, public transport or private transport, high taxes or paid medicine, two genders or many, seek the original of the Constitution or be clear, etc.

@martinsstals @aiga_balode Relatively comparable to television. There was a time when getting on TV was everything, because there were no other options to get on screen. Now everyone in the village has a smartphone and an account on tiktok or instagram.

@tv24_lv Bureaucracy can be reduced by doing! The commission I lead this year made changes to several laws, actually reducing bureaucracy, especially in construction. This week the commission heard Endziņš. And it turns out that in half a year @AndrisKulbergs has not met with him even once! More work and fewer speeches!

“I want to weed out bureaucracy, but I cannot do it alone. In my daily Cabinet of Ministers meetings my eyelids twitch and I want to cry, these meetings kill me, there is so much pollution with bureaucracy,” the Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs @Apvienotais_, a candidate for the 15th Saeima deputy seat, said on TV24 program “Let’s speak openly!”

Summary after the @KNL_LTV1 program about airBaltic's future: In the best case, the state simply loses control over the company. In the medium-bad scenario, we as a state also pay extra out of our own pockets to realize this same "best" scenario. Whereas the most realistic and at the same time worst outcome - airBaltic has actually been flushed down the toilet. For all this, one big "thank you" goes to the ruling parties so far and their years-long stewardship.

Day No.74 in the prime minister's chair (Wednesday) — TET data center, debates and 🇺🇦 Budanov at the Motor Museum. 🏢 OPENING OF TET DATA CENTER IN SALASPILS Latvia must become a leader in speed in the application of artificial intelligence. Did you know that TET stores almost 20% of Ukraine's state data on Latvian servers and provides cybersecurity services? We opened TET's new DC7 data center @SalaspilsLv — one of the most modern data centers in Latvia, also built for artificial intelligence technology needs. ➖️ Meets high security standards and is certified for Tier III level. ➖️ Data can be stored right here 🇱🇻 in Latvia, while creating backup infrastructure in Europe if needed. ➖️ The data center is connected to the largest optical internet network nodes in Latvia and international internet exchange points in Europe. ➖️ Even drone detection capabilities have been established. ➖️ A particularly good example of using residual heat in cooperation with Salaspils Siltums — the generated heat is not simply released into the air, but is used for heating. This is exactly what modern infrastructure projects should be — security, technology and energy efficiency in one place. 🛡️ THE RIGA CONFERENCE BUSINESS FORUM 2026 — “SECURITY AS A DRIVER OF GROWTH” At the LU business forum, I emphasized a simple principle: Strong security is possible only together with a strong economy. Latvia invests approximately 2 billion euros annually in defense. My goal is to ensure that 30–40% of this money returns to the Latvian economy, developing our own defense industry, technologies, manufacturing and exports. A secure border cannot exist without a strong economy. 🇱🇻 @amchamlat UKCHam NordicsCham DEBATES WITH PRIME MINISTER CANDIDATES In the debates, I put the main emphasis on the economy, a balanced budget and Latvia's ability to earn more. My formula is simple: 💪 Strong economy = strong defence 📈 Strong economy = strong development 💶 Bringing new money = new economy 🌍 Export — including military industry 🏦 Less excessive caution and restrictions in the banking sector Latvia needs an economy that not only distributes existing money, but can create and attract new money. 🇺🇦 KYRYL BUDANOV AT THE MOTOR MUSEUM Meeting with Kyrylo Budanov at the Motor Museum. We talked about: ➖️ 🇺🇦 Ukraine's view of the security situation and the time we have to prepare; ➖️ 🇷🇺 The issue of Russia's stolen 🇺🇦 Ukrainian grain; ➖️ Latvia's readiness to help Ukraine with its grain exports. And another very apt comparison by Budanov, standing next to Brezhnev's Rolls-Royce. He described Russia's approach roughly like this: if Russia cannot fix Brezhnev's Rolls-Royce, it is simpler not to fix the car, but to ban Brezhnev from driving it. A fairly precise example of how the 🇷🇺 system works. 🙂 I also gave 3 interviews, Polish TV, EuroNews and UKR press. Everyone was interested in the security issue, Latvia's readiness, peace talks in Ukraine and Russia's attack on NATO.

@aldis_viesturs @MarisKaminskis @jarinovska @VL_TBLNNK @JanisVitenbergs @LatvijasBanka Generally, LB does not print money since we joined the Eurozone in 2014.

@MarisKaminskis @jarinovska @VL_TBLNNK @JanisVitenbergs @AndrisKulbergs The price increase is the direct responsibility of @LatvijasBanka. If it constantly 'prints' new 'money'. LB's mistakes should not be fixed with administrative methods 'The government has ...', but LB must be forced to stop issuing new money (or basing ECB on overnight borrowing at +/- 100% GPL).

It seems that most voters who are going to vote for Kulbergs don't even know that he is in the same party alliance with Jūrmala's Gatis Truksnis!

@Lato_Lapsa What is AS, @AndrisKulbergs? Also the investigation initiator rB and RS, with conclusions and a clear vision (at least regarding RS) The heating season is approaching in Riga, tariffs will not decrease or remain unchanged... but will increase by up to +30%!? Was the vision still liquid? Is Kulbergs Briškens?

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis avoids giving a clear answer to the question of whether the Latvian state plans to apply as an "airBaltic" creditor in the reorganization process, saying that everything will happen according to the business plan.

The Latvian state has several statuses regarding 'airBaltic' – as a shareholder and as a creditor, I would recommend the state, which has now become a more weakly protected creditor, to also apply as an unsecured creditor, recommends Jānis Ešenvalds.

@Lato_Lapsa Smiltēns just 'showing off', KNAB already announced the check 2h earlier than his post. During the day Lapiņš had also already written the submission :) What a theater would start if MMN's empty voters elect actors, no need to go to the theater :)

If I hadn't approached several dozen people to come into politics, I would believe this version. Rather, being in a party means becoming toxic. It's not just pressure from society, but it can also affect career and business. The political culture is also to blame - some are literally criminals, some spread absolute lies or incorrect criticism, which some people believe.

@martinsstals @aiga_balode Party leaders must be actively open to internal competition and party-level democracy. I think that the majority of party leaders are fine as they are. Why risk attracting potential competitors that they might not be able to control?

Negotiations with bondholders were intense, but in the negotiation process the airline chooses the solutions that are more advantageous to it in the restructuring process, said Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis. In his view, the fact that some bondholders object to the use of “Chapter 11” is understandable.

Of the 140 million euros that will be available to the company according to the start of the "airBaltic" restructuring process approved by a US court, approximately half, or more than 70 million, will be used for the "buyback" of aircraft and engines, confirms "airBaltic" board member Jakovļevs.

"Here we put a full stop" – Stepaņenko refuses to explain the origin of gifts from her father living in Russia. 👀 Stepaņenko confirmed that her father lives in Russia and provides help to her family, although he left the family when Stepaņenko was a child. Asked about the origin of the funds, she indicated that the gifts have been declared, and if there are suspicions about the origin of the funds, one can turn to law enforcement authorities.
