@AlvisHermanis1 @JanisIkstens Thank you for trying, Mr. Hermanis! It is essential and significant for Latvia in the long term. Someone has to do the dirty work.

With this, I announce that I am stepping down from the duties of leader of the party 'We Change the Rules' and will henceforth be an ordinary member. I am aware that I have not been able to achieve and fulfill my goal - to convince the public of the need to change the rules - and therefore this responsibility must now be taken on by someone else. Let the members of the MMN party decide on that. For my part, I can only recommend entrusting this post to Jāzeps Baško, who, in my opinion, is the only one who could continue what has been started. Jāzeps is an ideologue - a smart and honest person, persistent and principled, and I urge others to support him as well. I have decided to implement the MMN program in an even more radical way and to start with myself. Because I have come to the realization that transforming the world is impossible. Rules can only be changed privately - by changing one's consciousness and habits. So - I am not giving up on the goal. But I will try to do it in other ways.

Plop. It’s good that the people who won Latvia in the Fifth Year, in the Christmas Battles and in the Freedom Fights were not Alvis Hermanises, but people with will and backbone. Otherwise there would be no Latvia. https://t.co/XZRv1qU2qV

✅ The last minority government was under Indulis Emsis. Formally, it was formed by ZZS together with the People's Party and Šlesers, with 46 votes in the Saeima. But it could work only because Saskaņa supported it. That was also the only time Saskaņa was actually in a coalition. #BogdanovaB https://t.co/gtfsbYD9by https://t.co/9AEYoYjcA6

❗️❗️❗️No minority government is able to work without the support of other parties in the Saeima. If a minority government is supported by one particular party with 'for' votes or by reducing the quorum, then it would be right to call this government a coalition without the other party having any claims to ministerial posts. Historically, minority governments are formed when it is not possible to agree on a stable majority. #TrīsdesmitPieciProcenti

If you can bribe and buy corrupt BND staff without anyone noticing for years, it’s Black Friday for foreign intelligence agencies. Our adversaries will shop till they drop. And given Germany’s dismal record on modernizing our security services, the sale won’t end anytime soon.
