The US-Latvia partnership is thriving. Latvia is a transatlantic bridge for cooperation in security, investment, and technology. Today, I hosted @USAmbEU Andrew Puzder to take it further. The 🇱🇻-🇺🇸 friendship is captured by the postage stamp issued on America’s 250th birthday. https://t.co/cDEraGhgzt

“No one stands above the law.” Rinkēvičs condemns Uzulnieks' driving under the influence of more than three per mille.

If a person gets behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol, they endanger the health and lives of others. From the minister's side, this is irresponsible and categorically unacceptable behavior.. Therefore, Uzulnieks' dismissal from office is the only correct decision. https://t.co/cmaTiWQJyd

Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs signed an order on the dismissal of Reinis Uzulnieks from the post of Minister of Welfare. From September 14 of this year until a further decision, the Minister of Agriculture Uldis Augulis has been assigned to perform the duties of the Minister of Welfare. https://t.co/6NspmtIJP1

Latvian men are so spineless and defend other spineless creatures. Instead of demanding responsibility for actions, instead of condemning behavior, they look for excuses. Someone poured, someone didn't watch, someone complained. Everyone else is guilty. Just like in Citskovskis's own case, who watched and stayed silent while Kariņš burned hundreds of thousands flying around. I will 100% delete this spineless person, JKP made a big mistake accepting him into the party.

@n_karklinz I want to see how all those NA voters will get disappointed when after the elections NA will start doing what they always do - namely, nothing! When Zīle stayed in Brussels - even then they should have broken away from their voter. But that voter is just like them: God forbid, I'll be first in line!

@citskovskisj If they really reported to the police, then thank you to this person! That is responsible behavior! No one pours it into your mouth by force. If a minister, who moreover has access to state secrets, is so easily made drunk, then, excuse me, we are in a very sad and even dangerous situation.

No one poured it into his mouth. But still, Uzulnieks's case makes one speak loudly about the surrounding co-responsibility. Uzulnieks's Facebook video from yesterday - Uzulnieks together with blogger Pipars visits Sēlija's home cafés and the brewery Fišers. Probably they poured. A smear on the lip and off to the sea. 3.5 promille. But why was Uzulnieks allowed to get behind the wheel? It is not excluded that someone seeing Uzulnieks's condition also reported to the police. First they poured and then they reported. In the past, political heavyweight J.Straume (LNNK) was also caught driving drunk from hunting. Supposedly one of the hunting "friends" had informed the police.

@ErlendsBB I know nothing about you and haven't said anything. I also personally know several MMN people whom I am sure are honest, decent patriots. But if you have no questions about what I mentioned, about people on the list.. well then... then you've said everything about yourself.

MMN is supposedly a Kremlin project? I've been running around with all Russians, but now I'm a Kremlinist. @JurgisLiepnieks, if you have facts, put them on the table. Names, dates, money. Without a question mark and with your own signature. If not, then wash your mouth out. https://t.co/ZCokJC03ls

And this is BY FAR the highest blood alcohol level ever in Latvia behind the wheel, I daresay, for a politician caught behind the wheel. The minister really tried hard. https://t.co/97fu8DrIIq

3.5 per mille, friends! 3.5 PER MILLE! Prosperous. Indeed. If a drunk driver couldn't find representation among the previous party offerings, then, please, Uzulnieks made the effort to make the offering truly inclusive.
