Šlesers rejects coalition with JV, 'Progressives' and 'Sovereign Power'

16475VIDEO ⟩ Šlesers names the political forces with which he will not form a coalition (1)
Political parties that allowed such a situation will not resolve what they themselves have cooked up, whatever they promise now! Both the Siliņa government and the Kulbergs government refuse to disclose to the public what migration obligations Latvia has actually undertaken. Voting for the old parties means receiving the same old, capitulating compromise politics. By voting for Austošā Saule Latvijai, you vote for a safe, prosperous and Latvian Latvia! On October 3, list 12.

Šlesers: LPV will not form a coalition with JV, 'Progressives' and 'Sovereign Power'
When Rinkēvičs appointed the well-known blogger and influencer Kulbergs as prime minister, he calculated everything correctly. There is no better candidate to: 1. preserve power in the state for the JV and the “Šķēle camp” consensus; 2. give Rinkēvičs a second term; 3. keep the rules unchanged; 4. create an illusion of mighty reforms for single people until Oct 3.
From@JacquesofSTAKulbergs on changing the electoral system: “That will not be our priority – Latvia currently needs stability, security and certainty.” I translate it as – vote for the same ones and rest easy, a stable coalition with JV and PRO and nothing changes again for the next 4 years. 👎👎👎👎👎👎 https://t.co/SM6QCzjbLX

From@Apvienotais_Greetings from Balvi! Juris Viļums together with Raimonds Bergmanis, Ināra Groce and Aivars Bačkurs today in Balvi meet with residents to discuss one of the most pressing issues in Latgale – the future of hospitals. Both in Balvi and Preiļi, people need to know what healthcare accessibility will be like in the future and how necessary medical services will be provided as close to home as possible. Decisions about the future of regional hospitals cannot be made without listening to people, medics, and municipalities. Healthcare must be accessible regardless of whether a person lives in Riga, Balvi, or Preiļi. #APVIENOTAISSARAKSTS #LatvijaMumsIrRisinājums #7saraksts #Balvi #Preiļi #Latgale

Deficit and national debt. Right now the noose is tightening around the world, and there is no end in sight: the USA, Europe, Japan. Everywhere. The 10-year US debt yield has reached almost 5%, a level not seen in 19 years. Japan is at 3%, not seen that high in 30 years. Germany is around 3.5%, not that high since the Great Depression. Meanwhile, budget deficits (the reason for borrowing) have in many places left the controllable zone. Inflation is no longer the 'desired' 2%, but 3–4%. And there is still no end in sight, and economists promise none. In Latvia, everything is just quiet. Mainly because intellect lags behind; in the public sphere you only hear that all it takes is to fire some officials and the budget will balance. You don't even realize how decisive turns must be made to cover just a small part of the deficit. I know the numbers, they make your eyes water.
"Progresīvie" proposes to reduce the security deposit for apartment rent.
From@partijaMMNCreative Friday. What does the abbreviation MMN mean to you? Besides the well-known 'We change the rules'. It is heard that we are called 'We change names', and also 'We change the world' (?) and 'We don't want migrants'. Let your imagination run wild in the comments.

From@CardinalisRavusHow about, for fun, @janisdombrava stuffs both Uzbeks into a bag and then sends them back in a container to the land of fun, Uzbekistan? Why any probation in Latvia? It is precisely these cowardly court rulings and attitudes toward such creatures that lead to radicalization of society ☝️ https://t.co/P5Uk7XQngD

From@liana_langaThank you @IIndriksone for this interview and powerful support for Latvia's de-Russification! 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻🙏 Of course, it is the journalist's task to interrogate a politician, but in this interview one can appreciate not only the very respectable Ilze Indriksone, but also Domburs' understanding of what constitutes a national Latvian state. https://t.co/3obqpJwBJi

From@IvarsAuzinsSince the previous elections, pro-Kremlin parties have received instructions to become maximally provocative. That is what's new, that they do not recognize the occupation and try to justify Russia's war. They openly sneer and mock. Citizenship should be reviewed.

From@liana_langaWhen the Interior Minister writes to the Interior Minister of another EU country, it is a scandal, but when the enticer of Russian journalists - contrary to @Valsts_drosiba recommendations - Gunta Sloga defames the Latvian state, is that okay? Were these messages coordinated with @Arlietas? On Thursday, the Baltic Centre for Media Excellence (BCME) together with other Latvian civil society organizations - Centre MARTA, Latvian Human Rights Centre and Latvian Civic Alliance - met with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, to discuss the human rights and democracy challenges currently facing Latvia and Europe. BCME Executive Director Gunta Sloga emphasized that today in Latvia there are serious threats to the information space and media, carried out not only by representatives of countries hostile to Latvia, but also by individual politicians and groupings at home.

Why has fuel returned above 2 euros per liter and oil above 100 dollars per barrel again? Hormuz again. Saudi Arabia has an oil pipeline that transports about 5% of global oil to the Red Sea, thus partially bypassing the problematic Strait of Hormuz. But the Houthis (Iran's allies) are launching drones and otherwise attacking Saudi Arabia's energy infrastructure. The pipeline is closed these days until 'further notice'. Analysts predicted this scenario long ago.
From@KobeissiLetterBREAKING: Saudi Arabia has shut down its East-West crude oil pipeline following "multiple attacks," per CNBC. The pipeline has a capacity of up to ~7 million barrels of oil per day and has been a critical route for bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. US oil prices rise back above $100/barrel.
