Chaos in Kulbergs' government. It's unclear what was decided about exams - when do they take effect? First time I see such - the government decides, but doesn't understand what has been decided for thousands of students. https://t.co/idwQcUuapB

@ZsVarpas @CherAmi0x if we are talking about LA, then I will remind that they are not in the Saeima at all.
From@ZsVarpas@JurgisLiepnieks @CherAmi0x Their leaders have been the same for years! They could have proven themselves not only in words but also in deeds long ago! It will always be convenient to refer to coalition discipline and common compromises (undeniably they exist)!

From@andristeikmanisThe most interesting and original political advertisement in Latvia. MMN is an absolutely underappreciated political project. A real political neomodernism. A breath of fresh air in a room that has not been ventilated for 35 years. https://t.co/Cmo3C7kBqD

From@AtminaLVI found that case. In August 2018, police arrive at pensioner Dzidra Bruzgule's home in Dekšāri parish, Viļāni municipality. Hemp grows in the garden. The kind that is eaten in Latvia and used to drive away Colorado beetles. Police pull out 363 plants and take them for examination. Examination: no narcotic substances. Criminal proceedings terminated. Police apologise. The woman asks for compensation. 1089 euros for the ruined garden and 3000 euros for the ordeal. The Prosecutor General's Office awards 27 euros and 23 cents. She goes to court. The first instance rejects. The Administrative Regional Court in January 2021 awards 1500 euros. And here begins exactly what this conversation is about. The Prosecutor General's Office appeals. To the Supreme Court. Over 1500 euros. For a pensioner whose garden was destroyed by the state and to whom the police had already apologised. The prosecution's position: an apology is enough. On 21 April 2022, the Senate leaves the judgment unchanged. The 1500 euros remain. From the search to the final judgment — three years and eight months. No one in this chain at any point said: we made a mistake, let's stop.

@DonnaAsso @Brivibas36 @CVK_zinas These questions should be asked to @CVK_zinas, they organize elections as an independent institution.
From@DonnaAsso@Brivibas36 @CVK_zinas @AndrisKulbergs Meanwhile, it seems completely absurd how those who cannot get to the polling station for health reasons will vote? I called the CVK, but I didn't really understand. If, for example, a person unexpectedly ends up in the hospital exactly on that day, or conversely - is suddenly discharged home... If you haven't previously indicated where you are, can't you vote?

Šlesers calls for allowing Russian pensioners to 'die peacefully' in Latvia.
Progressive illiterate Martochka on Thursday came out of the toilet, grabbed a number from the drawer, messed with her main asset, and went to run for Saeima.
"Let them die peacefully here in Latvia." Šlesers on Russian pensioners (1)
Daiga Mieriņa (ZZS): “It is very important to finally adopt the law on the State Audit (VK), amendments to allow the VK to also audit the Saeima in the general order. The arguments against it that have been voiced publicly, in my opinion, do not withstand criticism, because in any case an outside perspective is always very good, and it is not that we cannot improve something here. Society also expects that we are equal to everyone else, not higher than everyone else and untouchable.”
From@ltvzinasDailes Theatre has started the new season with the first “Dailennāle” and international collaborations. More about that in “Rīta Panorāma”. Afterwards we will talk about whether the legislator still has enough time before the Saeima elections to make decisions important to the public. But at the end of the programme we will meet Ričijs Rū, who this season offers the concert performance “Ričijs Rū Lauku Sētā”.

Šlesers calls to let Russian pensioners 'die peacefully' in Latvia
They already know how to write documents. I mean anywhere, in all countries. In Latvia, central government expenditures are below the OECD average relative to GDP, but together (general government, including municipalities) - above. There one can and will always strive for improvements, but not some grandiose ones, in billions. That is a myth.
From@Astridamains@guntarsv Not linearly, but with reason and function. I see every day that the state does not save money at all - there is a lot of that which shouldn't be there, because there is competition with the private sector. There are institutions that are for projects, but not for fulfilling their direct name.
