From@RaivisZeltitsI had to file a report about 4 people who, in comments under my posts, expressed support for Kremlin aggression, threatened me, or chose to confess to other crimes against the Latvian state; there will be another report at the end of the week. Threats to "put me against the wall" are becoming routine. Fans of the Kremlin party sponsored by taxpayers' money, nurtured by SIFs, MAFs, etc., have been spared by the cowardly authorities. 2026 — and since the overthrow of the occupier, we are still in the same place.

16620From@Ivars_AbolinsSIF, or the Society Integration Foundation, in its current form must be liquidated. Only 10% of those who speak Russian are ready to defend Latvia, and only 18% are on Ukraine's side at all. The rest either support Russia, or are on neither side, or cannot answer. Therefore, this foundation no longer performs any societal integration and has exhausted itself. We must also stop supporting the Russian language through SIF. For example, allocating money to newspapers published in Russian. Because that is exactly how we raise generations who, in the LTV debate program, cannot answer the question - who owns Crimea and what is Russia's role in creating threats to Latvia. And we wonder about the election results in Latgale. Where we ourselves, with state money, have supported newspapers in Russian, which, in my opinion, support Aleksandrs Barteševičs representing Šlesers' LPV. From@ArtursButans❗️In 2025, the government had a minister Atis Švinka, who supported changes to the exam rules 4 days(!) before the exam. Now Atis Švinka and the Progressives criticize that the @VL_TBLNNK minister is pushing changes 10 months before the exam. This isn't populism, is it? #politika #Saeima

There is a difference between the railway tariff and the railway infrastructure usage fee. One needs to be partially coordinated, the other does not.
From@Mikipele6P.S. Quite recently, the German government also tried to interfere just as brazenly in this EU regulatory sphere, but got a serious beating in the EU court for it. It seems that the Siliņa government's decision on illegal interference in timber tariffs has taught your advisors and the Ministry of Transport nothing.

@MartasTante @partijaMMN The LTV free airtime format is 5 minutes. Did you also comment on the endlessly long polished PR videos made by other parties, in which more or less glossy candidates present their promises? No, because their videos are not worth discussing anywhere outside the airtime.
From@MartasTante@JazepsBasko @partijaMMN This video is too long, especially in this era. It won't attract any new votes for you. I'm afraid that your well-intentioned appearance on the political stage will not be able to overcome the 5% barrier. # Extremely sad...

@GalvGatis @Braze_Baiba Many contracts should have been reviewed long ago. Sometimes it is not entirely clear what our expected results are.
From@GalvGatis@MaratQasem @Braze_Baiba do I understand correctly that the occupiers' monuments 🇱🇻 are located only on the basis of interstate agreements? Isn't it time to review them?

It is especially important to notice the areas where we have excellence and the opportunity to compete at world level. Quantum technologies are one such area. Latvia does not have to start from scratch here. We have internationally recognized scientists, universities and and first practical projects. #science #excellence https://t.co/vt5g9Y3WZa

Riga Council deputy from the Progressives has prematurely resigned his mandate: reason — burnout (2)
Right now the most interesting thing in politics is happening in Germany. Possibly, not only the EU's future but also Latvia's future is being decided there. The whole country is following Chancellor Merz's 'harikiri' live broadcast: yesterday in the Bundestag he called re-emigration ethnic cleansing. When Merkel gradually degraded her historically conservative party (CDU) into a left-liberal party, Merz came with exactly the same slogans and a reformer's image, just like Kulbergs is now posturing here. But words and deeds differed by 180 degrees. The great reformer turned out to be the greatest defender of the existing order. As German political commentators write: the chancellor's rhetoric and election campaign were devoted to the conservative voter, but his deeds and actions support the old administrative system that is equivalent to the one in Latvia. Two parallel policies. But the trick worked. Here too. Especially on women 50+. A tall man speaking in an angry voice. Nothing else matters.
@JansonsJuris Kučinskis is the finance minister in this government, but yes, of course, previous governments seemed that it couldn't get worse. Turns out it can.
From@JansonsJuris@JurgisLiepnieks I thought that previous governments were a catastrophe. I was wrong. Kučinskis finance minister... etc.

Health minister survives no-confidence vote in Saeima
Health Minister Hosams Abu Meri (JV) will continue to serve as minister. The Saeima majority decided this on Thursday, considering the opposition's motion of no confidence against the minister. 24 deputies supported the no-confidence motion, 67 were against, and one abstained. https://t.co/hFW1e2v2KF
