Ukraine has quietly pulled off one of its most significant counteroffensive operations of 2026. Over several months, Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps pushed back Russian forces north of Lyman and cut down a Russian salient that had taken Moscow roughly a year to build. OSINT analysts estimate Ukraine has retaken around 150–200+ km², with Russian forces pushed back toward the Zherebets River in parts of the sector. The operation has reduced the threat to Lyman and complicated Russia’s attempts to advance toward Sloviansk and the northern Donbas.

@MyronLVa @Ps4251 @zuravlevs @JankaPipars1 @Panzerkampfiets @SusurisMazais @Gaumigais_joks @grok Specifically where in the @Progresivie program is anything anti-Latvian? Quotes from the current program, not "talking points" that have been scraped from somewhere.

Russia pays for their destructive activities also because for the Kremlin these are relatively small financial costs. Meanwhile, the global benefit can be very significant — in the best case a Trojan horse in the European Union and NATO, or at least a controllable Member of the European Parliament as a minimal goal.

@MaratQasem Years pass, names change (Interfront-Zapchol-Saskaņa-Stabilitātei-Suverēnā vara, etc), but the group of state enemies does not shrink. Imperial RF feeds and sustains them. Russia must lose thoroughly like Germany and Japan in WW2, perhaps then it would become a normal state like those two mentioned. Without imperialism.

During the years of Soviet occupation there was not a single Russian in Dikļi, as the locals there told me, but now Pakistanis are roaming around there!

Together with @SecGenNATO Rutte, I welcome the agreement by Member States on the derogation for Ukraine to purchase crucial products for Patriot air defence systems. The next disbursement of €3.2 billion will enable Ukraine to better protect its skies from Russia's indiscriminate attacks. This comes on top of €8.4 billion already disbursed under the Ukraine Support Loan, including for air defence. We will continue to work hand in hand to support Ukraine and to strengthen Europe's defence posture.

Latvia and the Netherlands are close EU and NATO partners. Good discussion with Latvian colleague @Braze_Baiba on our shared efforts to strengthen European security, continued support for Ukraine and protect the EU’s external border. Latvia’s security and borders are also ours. https://t.co/VrbZLTAejU

❗️❗️❗️The former chairman of the party @Progresivie, @GraudinsMaris, without Egils Levits' permission and knowledge, has put Levits' words of support on his election leaflet. Levits says that he did say these words about Graudiņš, but not to be put in the Progresīvie booklet. The party tells the portal @TVNET_zinas in justification that the coordination was up to the candidate and is not responsible for the content of Graudiņš's leaflet. Do you also think so?… It is clear what Graudiņš's motivation is. This person's core voters are in the USA and elsewhere outside Latvia, where he is well known. And they also know well another exile, Levits, whom Graudiņš has now, let's call things by their proper names, mocked. This is a real piggishness against @valstsgriba, against the election process of one's own country and against the voters. #TāNedrīkst https://t.co/KhsaNnnzea

@viedis @J_Hermanis Benefits are not endless, they end.

No - the problem is that: 1. these 7% do not have pressing circumstances - benefits are enough! 2. the state-set minimum wage and other conditions limit job creation and high costs to eliminate - so they don't hurry to create new ones! 3. the business environment is pressured, the economy is compressed - new ones don't emerge fast enough.... What to do - reform, fundamentally: https://t.co/YnxtG9zoSB

@CerinsAivis I'll explain what it smells like https://t.co/Bj9B1CvHDI

This smells really bad. How did the lady leave RS with clean papers? It was clear they would all be thrown out, because the RS council wasn't doing its job. She left on her own, clean CV, and the next council was already waiting to loaf around for perks. And they tell us simpletons that 2x2=5🙃 well, we'll see… https://t.co/tpAPsIfW2D
