16686Maybe get a grip on your focus. It would only be honest to write that you were in ASL but were expelled because you weren't loyal and you ran around with your 'PR services' to other parties. Only these services weren't needed by anyone.
From@DavidsZalansIf ASL had focused on creating a quality election campaign instead of putting Pro down, ASL's rating would not be 5-10x lower than Pro's rating.

From@IvarsRimsa@Lato_Lapsa Interesting, whether this thought is an order to propagandists from @Jauna_Vienotiba or already from @Apvienotais_, which goes along with the desire to hide officials' incomes?

🕯️ We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Rihards Pīks on his passing. Rihards Pīks (1941-2026) was a film director, cinematographer and politician who began his career at Riga Film Studio, later becoming its director and engaging in the Atmoda movement. In the 1990s he founded the National Film Centre, served as Latvia's Minister of Culture (1996–1997), as a Saeima deputy and Minister of Foreign Affairs (March–July 2004), and then as a Member of the European Parliament (2004–2009). Rihards Pīks was also a board member and long-time member of the party “Latvijas attīstībai”.
@SupaGreeg If we don't buy it back, it's very likely that planes will no longer fly from Riga. Are we ready for that?
From@SupaGreeg@martinsstals If the state eventually bought back AB from the quick loan lenders, that would be absolutely criminal. We would all pay for these astronomical interest rates AND continue to pour money into AB's financial abyss.

With Šķēle's guy as prime minister, who will continue to support immigration at the behest of LDDK/LTRK, disaster is guaranteed. Tables and numbers – that's such a cruel thing. You can bury your head in the sand. We'll talk in 10 years.
From@ivars_auzins@AlvisHermanis1 There won't be such a disaster. We also have non-far-right parties that have a reasonable attitude on almost all important issues. Only the Progressives and JV should be kept away from the government. I wish you to overcome 5% and then it will be pretty OK. As for jobs – we'll see, of course.

To make the procurement system in Latvia more efficient, I will propose that from next year information about completed procurements must be published – this will save quite significant financial resources. https://t.co/s1xRg8vSak
From@Oliniete2Until September 20, on Fridays from 20:00, Alberta and Antonijas streets are simply closed to cars, i.e., to the normal life of permanent residents. They say so people can stroll along the street in a broad stream and admire the architecture. As far as I understand, in the first weekend there were some outdoor cafés and a Progresīvie tent next to which Šuvajevs was handing out leaflets. I didn't see it myself because we fled to the countryside with the family. But the following weekend nothing happens on Alberta Street and no crowds of admirers walk around, only inconveniences are created for residents. Yesterday, when we set off from the city again, tents and outdoor cafés were set up on Antonijas Street, from Elizabetes Street to Kalpaka Boulevard, and a concert by Chris Noah was planned for the evening. But it's clear that this is Pro's pre-election campaign for all of Riga's money. A clever move to reduce real campaign expenses. The same scenario happened on Tērbatas Street in 2021 before the Riga City Council elections!

From@AlvisHermanis1About last night's election results in Germany: 10 years ago I predicted and warned the Germans how it would end. Even the largest German newspaper FAZ acknowledged this week in an interview with me that I was right. The same is happening now in Latvia. In 10 years, everyone will admit that MMN was a historic opportunity to avoid the catastrophe. But it will be too late.

Education and knowledge are the only thing that cannot be taken away from a person. In a sense, the education minister wants to deprive young people of the opportunity for good education in Latvia. Education Minister Ilze Indriksone this week continues to push forward NA's changes in education. They are being driven through in a hurry, already after the start of the school year and without full consultation with schools, teachers, and industry experts. The result is chaos and many unanswered questions. Schools will have to rework their assessment procedures within a few days. From now on, each school will largely decide itself which tests a student can improve, when and how that happens, and whether different weights are applied to grades. Greater autonomy for schools and teachers is in itself supportable. But without unified, timely explained principles, it can increase assessment differences between schools. At the same time, it is planned to completely abolish the threshold for passing the 9th grade exam. Exams will be mandatory, but even a very low result will no longer prevent receiving a basic education certificate. It is understandable to reduce the disproportionate impact of one exam on a child's future. But the minister must answer how it will be demonstrated in the future that a basic education document also means a minimum level of knowledge and skills. The extra work for teachers and school administration has not been calculated either. Repeated tests, consultations, individual tasks, and new internal procedures. No additional funding is planned, and no post-change evaluation is even scheduled. A brilliant start to the new school year with hastily adopted regulations and the obligation for schools to deal with the consequences themselves. Education policy must be aimed not only at ensuring that a young person receives a diploma and enters the labor market faster, but at ensuring that the diploma confirms real knowledge and skills. The minister has not convincingly explained how these changes will ensure that.
@Krisjanis_K @Jauna_Vienotiba This is my long-time supplier. Decent and reliable.
From@Krisjanis_K@Lato_Lapsa Hmm, from last year's harvest?? That slightly reminds me of that guy on the @Jauna_Vienotiba list, who now still persistently runs for a deputy seat in the 14th Saeima...😎

Dog attack in Carnikava: Kulbergs names the party and ministry that bear political responsibility
@didzisdejus No choices have been named yet. The strategic investor is smoke and mirrors. The only real question is whether the state as a creditor will bid for the acquisition of airBaltic assets so that we have direct flights from Riga in the future.
From@didzisdejusPulling airBaltic out of bankruptcy or the state continuing to be a bad manager. That's exactly how simple the choices are. https://t.co/ER8E33AewY
