I am convinced that the people working and living in local governments know best about work and life there. It is valuable to meet entrepreneurs who create added value and attract investments to the regions. This time I am pleased to visit companies operating in @salduslv https://t.co/i9nfb8LzpC

They have failed to cope and integrate Russian colonists and their descendants in Latvia for several generations now, but the Latvian state is determined to integrate Muslims and Africans into the small Latvian nation - people from extremely different cultures! Their number in the world: in 2010 there were 1.6 billion Muslims and it is forecast that by 2050 the number of Muslims will continue to grow rapidly and reach 2.76 billion, and by 2070 Islam will become the most widespread religion in the world. “Brilliant” that in Latvia, openly declared enemies of Latvia and Ukraine can participate in elections. Our security filters and regulations in Latvia are truly brilliant! Like in a misunderstood democracy that is ready to lose the country! Instead of changing something, government advisers break chairs in ecstasy! #AtkrieviskoLatviju

Unity's Kozlovskis has somehow gone completely silent and unnoticed regarding airBaltic. Isn't the new loan his direct responsibility? Complete silence from him and about him. I don't see a single word anywhere about Unity's Transport Minister Kozlovskis, who is most directly responsible.

I have discussed the issue of grain transportation with Ukraine's Prime Minister Serhij Koreckis and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Ukraine's services have information about grain illegally taken out of Ukraine by Russia, which is planned to be exported through the Baltics in large volumes in the near future. We must immediately use this to strengthen Latvia's transit control system. We have agreed that Ukrainian food processing and safety experts will come to Latvia, and Ukrainian special services will also be involved. Ukraine, in cooperation with the United Kingdom, has created a database and solution for verifying grain origin. No one knows their grain's origin, producers, documents and possible illegal export routes better than Ukraine's institutions. We do not need to reinvent what Ukraine already knows and does best. At the same time, the interests of Latvian farmers must be strongly defended. This year's harvest must finally get a respite after three very hard years. Although there are currently no concerns about Latvia's port capacity, Latvian farmers' products must have priority access to our railways and ports. Therefore I have instructed the port administrations and state company "Latvijas dzelzceļš" to ensure that agricultural products of Latvian origin, including grain, receive logistics priority. https://t.co/xYSIsrcqlS

@janisdombrava Currently Latvia legally accepts more third-world migrants per year than Sweden! WAKE UP! This cannot continue, because with our less than 2 million inhabitants, we will soon be a minority. In Ireland you already see it - Muslims are taking over cities. Small countries disappear faster. STOP migration!

@Zukers_2o18 @JurgisLiepnieks Who takes that on? Jurēvics probably took on 30M, but has he managed to scrape together 187M in RB and ministerial posts...

@JurgisLiepnieks Kulberg's financier Vītols already said that everything is ok, this debt is taken on not by Latvian taxpayers. That the company will go down the drain, in which so much Latvian money is invested and which has so many jobs, that probably is not that interesting.

Regarding airBaltic's new loan of 257 million. It has not been reviewed or supported in the Cabinet of Ministers. Responsibility is legally assigned to the Prime Minister. ZZS sees a completely different development direction for airBaltic - strengthening the company in strategic cooperation with Lufthansa.

@janiscir @guntarsv @lifesound22 In my models it comes out like this https://t.co/pLI6bTLpJ5

@guntarsv @lifesound22 @E_Stendzenieks I tried various ways, but with those poor 30m + bond conversion I just can't get the state to retain 25%+1 share. I get 10-15% (depending on how winter goes and how successfully they get rid of the planes). Do your models really show that the state will retain a significant stake? 🙂

As of today, AirBaltic will have to start flights to Colombia and back in order to cover the 14.5% loan interest payments of ~€50 million per year. This payment will eat up all profits earned this year and next year. At the end of the year, the result will be negative profit, which is a very unfavorable circumstance for conducting the IPO process, which is planned by November this year. This whole saga with the refinancing of the €200 million bond would not have happened if Kariņš had not shut down flights for 61 days as the only airline in the EU (that cost -€200 million) and had used the special COVID circumstances when EU countries were allowed to support their airlines and money cost almost nothing. Now we all see the price of these unaccepted, botched decisions. Last week's €136 million state injection into bonds + we give €50 million of profits to 'junk bond' speculators, we risk €/$ exchange rate fluctuations (because planes are leased in $), we enter the IPO with a negative story and losses in the 2024 balance sheet. I say that unfortunately this is not the last time the state will have to prop up AB. I want to hear an explanation from @Briskens soon in the @Apvienotais_ faction about further plans, so that this time we don't have to save headlong without information and a Plan B. #airbaltic
