Aivars Strakša's lecture on yesterday's 'Krustpunktā' is mandatory listening for all dreamers and cloud pushers. It reminds of the old days when listening to the radio could make you smarter. https://t.co/8x9oUG26BC

@KasparsRazna @IlzeKusina @RostovskisA @LaSERdomnica @AndrisKulbergs @AndrisBite This statement presumes that no other growth occurs, only at the expense of borrowing. That is not true.

@zuravlevs @IlzeKusina @RostovskisA @LaSERdomnica @AndrisKulbergs @AndrisBite How do you calculate? :) If the state borrows 1 billion and spends that billion in Latvia, then that billion will be added to GDP figures. That simple.

@AndrisKulbergs Kulberg, why is it required to coordinate the anti-migration plan with 'I want to help refugees' and the convicted Raubiško? What does it have to do with anything? Instead, there should be a requirement to coordinate the anti-migration plan with 'Austošā Saule Latvijai'! https://t.co/jcmRuPI6B4

@KaijaSkujina NA has been very collegial towards its colleagues both in opposition and in coalition. I don't recall them starting public mudslinging. I like direct speech, but tripping others up in government doesn't fit, and it's not NA that indulges in that.

@Elina_Treija @KEM_Latvija Elīna, NA would be wiser not to throw around accusations (at least until the elections), even if possibly true. Not to anyone, neither ministers, nor deputies, nor ordinary members. We don't need that kindergarten behavior.

Ilze Indriksone (NA): Looking at the forecast in the data, analyzing, approximately 1,500 children next year may be left without basic school education. These are the scales, why I say – postponing changes to the exam assessment procedure for a year, this one and a half thousand children will be stopped in their education. #ŠodienasJautājums

It is not that "foreign students can't be cut off like with a knife", but we must admit the mistakes made and reorganize life in Latvia. We, Latvians in Latvia, do not have to suffer and live in horror because cunning people profit from the "education" conveyor with third-country citizens. @janisdombrava https://t.co/OLQfMSlH2H

🚨Germany officially holds Russia responsible for attempting an armed drone attack on Leipzig airport. Latvia's firmest solidarity with our German allies. Russia's aggression threatens all of Europe. Russia's actions must be called by their right name – state-sponsored terrorism. https://t.co/GUAPKeYNHG

1) All of this was thought through in the Saeima investigative committee over several months, moreover, all coalition parties voted to approve the conclusions and proposals! 2) From these conclusions and proposals, an immigration restriction plan was created and it has been agreed upon since July 24! These doubts are completely out of place!

@EdvardsRatnieks @AivarsLembergs Dombrava really sometimes rushes everything. His zeal to deal with the black invasion is understandable, his zeal to deal with the bureaucracy that Kulbergs so ardently defends is understandable, but his tactics are not understandable. Did Dombrava achieve a result? No, rather the opposite. Was it well thought out? No!

It looks like after the latest ratings someone has simply, as they say colloquially, gotten a big head. The government declaration must be implemented by advancing, improving the state of affairs, or communicating with one's ministers, not by writing long TikTok videos with epithets already aimed at Siliņa. A pity.

The immigration restriction plan has become a reason for a sharper dispute in the government coalition. While the National Alliance criticizes partners for stalling the plan, the prime minister accuses the interior minister of hasty action. About a month before the elections, political scientist Juris Rozenvalds sees an escalation of pre-election fighting in this conflict. 🖥️ https://t.co/YcchukRHPp

🟥 To my critics and trolls who in the comments try to teach me how victim identification works in international tragedies. I have worked at Interpol, and I have both knowledge and practical experience in such processes. In my experience as an Interpol investigator, I coordinated information exchange between countries and services, obtained and verified information about missing and deceased persons, compared personal data, and participated in coordinating the identification process. I collected and verified information about persons: personal data, documents, photographs, fingerprints, DNA, dental and medical data. In cooperation with relevant specialists and services of other countries, this information was used to confirm a person's identity. After identification, the next stage begins. International coordination and necessary procedures to hand over the remains of the deceased to relatives and transport them to their home country. I have worked with such international cooperation processes myself. So to those who teach me so convincingly here, I have a simple question. What are YOUR knowledge and practical experience in such matters? I can name my experience. Name yours.

⚠️ BAIBA BRAŽE, ENOUGH CLINKING CHAMPAGNE GLASSES AT THE FOREIGN MINISTRY AND EMBASSIES! FINALLY START FULFILLING THE DUTIES OF THE FOREIGN MINISTER! Get on an airBaltic plane and fly to Nepal. Help our people whose relatives have disappeared and may have died in this disaster. Everything must be done to identify our people in Nepal. And if the worst is confirmed, the foreign minister must negotiate with the Nepalese government and secure the repatriation of the remains of deceased Latvian nationals to Latvia. So that relatives can bury their loved ones in LATVIA - in their family cemeteries! I understand, Baiba, that before the elections themselves, you are afraid to do something like that. Because you have NEVER done anything like that. Clinking glasses is easier and cooler. Baiba, CHEERS! 🥂 But maybe now is the time to put the glass aside and start doing the work that the Latvian state pays you a salary for? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF OUR 'UNITY' FOREIGN MINISTER BAIBA BRAŽE? She has to go and help the Latvian people - DOESN'T SHE?

As we will again devote half a day tomorrow to such and similar issues - 'Justice meets Economy' - I have organized a broad meeting where on one side of the table are LDDK, LTRK, foreign investors, etc., and on the other side leading justice sector people. Together we must find solutions for Latvia's economic growth also through justice.

@EdvardsSmiltens could also end the state administration's practice of always litigating to the last instance even in lost cases. That absurdly burdens both the justice system and wastes institutional resources.

After conducting a thorough investigation our close allies Germany has concluded that the aggressor state Russia is behind the drone incident in Leipzig on August 4. Latvia strongly supports Germany and expresses full solidarity with our German friends! Time to close the Schengen zone to Russian tourists! Time to stop trade with the aggressor state! @JuliaKloeckner
