Ingus Tamanis and Adam Ladd on the single transferable vote electoral system. The Irish single transferable vote system has survived two referendums because its strength lies in the strong connection between voter and politician. It is time to introduce this system in Latvia too! https://t.co/t8mLwjRP1r

Latvia and Sweden have come a long way in advancing gender equality, but much remains to be done. Together with Minister @Braze_Baiba I had excellent discussions with engaged entrepreneurs from both our countries on how to further enhance women's opportunities in business. I would very much like a simple explanation why investments in wind energy are bad for the Kulbergs government, but in questionable real estate projects – good.

I welcomed @eucopresident to Riga today for a very important and productive meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office. 🇱🇻🇪🇺 We discussed the EU’s next seven-year Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), where I stressed the importance of strong European support for the countries on the EU’s Eastern Flank. Countries protecting the EU’s external border against an aggressor are investing not only in their own national security, but in the security of Europe as a whole. This responsibility must be properly reflected in the next EU budget. There can be no strong defense without a strong economy — and no strong economy without security. Listen, are those detailed party programmes available somewhere or not? Is it true (as I heard from Broks) that only Vienotība has a detailed programme publicly available?

Austošā Saule Latvijai will ensure pension fairness for mothers. Childcare time will be counted towards work experience. For each child, after birth, every Latvian citizen is granted level 1 pension capital in the amount of 20,000 euros. https://t.co/UzCMiNkDke

Kulbergs is wrong. Persons whose data have been lost are entitled to compensation from the one who lost them. So CSDD will have to pay.

@MP_76 Do you think that such actions by the prime minister are professional and show that he understands what he is doing?

From@MP_76

@JurgisLiepnieks Well Jurgi, Jurgi... the closer the elections, the more and more often they throw bile at Kulbergs. And the thought doesn't leave me that someone is paying for it this time too... I'd like to believe that you yourself understand that the big Andris is the best we've had in the last decade. It's very conspicuous this time around 😉

@SlesersAinars On October 4th... https://t.co/qTdVZvGLSE

The new LENIN - the progressive Šuvājevs announces that their main goal while working in a destructive coalition, which wasted billions of euros building 'Briškens' GOLDEN RAILS, MONSTERS at the airport, …., was to prevent Šlesers from coming to power! 😂 That means that the policy of the Progressives and Unity is completely bankrupt, because they do not offer to develop Latvia's economy and attract investments to Latvia, because their only offer is AGAINST ŠLESERS and FOR organizing PRIDE in Latvia!

Of course, always emotional, that's why someone has to point out the facts. Define an ideal prime minister? - Well, one who can actually get something done, who can lead, achieve results, not just notice where the shit is, where the crap is, not just mess things up and drift along. Surnames - well ... @Elina_Treija from NA or @pucej from @attistibai or @smiteroke from VID or @UldisBikis Uldis Cērps, @KasparsGorkss well... in short, it's not like the country lacks capable and smart people who have proven through their work that they can and understand. And these are just the first ones that come to mind.

@JurgisLiepnieks Politics is always emotional. I await your definition of an ideal prime minister. If facts, then facts. Surnames, please!

Today, I am delighted to welcome Latvia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs @Braze_Baiba to Stockholm. Latvia and Sweden not only share the same sea, but also strong ties and many fundamental interests. I look forward to further strengthening our unique partnership. Photo: Caisa Rasmussen/UD
