Fantastic head of government:) Besides, back then the whole Twitter thread was written down how justified it was or not etc. Everyone knew where that money would go, except... the responsible one - Kulbergs! https://t.co/kJg9nXW0Ob
From@evita_purinaIn mid-June, Kulbergs' government gave money to IZM, so that it (after a symbolic competition) would give it to the Bridge Federation. This morning the same Kulbergs on 900sek: “I only saw it for the first time yesterday; let IZM and NA come and explain what kind of algorithm that is and how it could be awarded retroactively.”

We have been living next to two aggressive, evil, and unpredictable dictatorships for more than four years. Now it turns out that Latvian Radio - our main crisis communication tool - can fail just because Anita Brauna has irresponsibly wandered off somewhere. What does that say about national security? She is a political implant of 'New Unity', so politicians will try to keep her in a position convenient for them, completely ignoring the threat to the state.
From@realNepareizais« LSM editor-in-chief Anita Brauna was left without communications during the storm – thus one of the main links in coordination was missing. » — Would tell - wouldn't believe … 🙃 https://t.co/ZKhbTs4boq

@VentsAKrauklis @KasparsH @ezerkalnuricis @eazeo @JurisFlugins @LatvijaPirmaja Of course, it's possible, by deporting TUA and PUA holders from Russia. And non-citizens. The situation would greatly improve and life would become more pleasant.
From@VentsAKrauklis@KasparsH @ezerkalnuricis @zuravlevs @eazeo @JurisFlugins @LatvijaPirmaja Neither I nor you can quickly change Latvia's ethnic composition. And for some of our citizens, that is their culture.

From@AlvisHermanis1It doesn't matter whether our country's highest officials have more information about the reasons for the CIA director's visit to Moscow, because the main thing was, is, and remains something else: Latvia must become a fortress in the military sense. Both for creating a drone army and for involving and preparing the whole society for all possible scenarios (there are plenty of examples - not only Ukraine or Israel). Unfortunately, it is clearly visible that our party politicians have done nothing about this in the past 4 years and are still doing nothing now: still none of us knows how exactly we could help and act. They mumble something about 72-hour bags, but even gas stations, communications, and state radio, as we learned thanks to the storm, would be paralyzed within an hour. Please let's forget about all kinds of Rail Baltica, NGOs and other pseudo-problems - we need a government that is capable of preparing the country and society for X hour. Task #1.

@Arteiko I still want to stick to realistic things. Also, a Tik Tok influencer Saeima would certainly not be something better.
From@Arteiko@AndrisVelps I think that from these 40% politics simply doesn't interest them! Neither clowns nor serious men in suits with polished programs interest them. Maybe Hermanis's idea about changing the electoral system is the solution. In Latvia only 1.4% of citizens are in parties, which is the smallest number in the Baltics!

More than 40% of voters don't even go to the polling stations because they are not interested in a show with jumping clowns. This show consistently attracts its approximately 15% audience who will vote for someone who promises to fire everyone or gets into fights while drunk. We need to reach out and attract exactly those 40% who are disappointed in eternal concession and capitulating compromises.
From@Arteiko@AndrisVelps KPV and Sovereign Power have shown that a new party can get into the Saeima if it puts on a show. ASL's serious and structured communication (also the party program is quite OK, except for a few points) does not allow gathering enough supporters! Modern politicians, unfortunately, must be clowns!

From@JazepsBaskoOur program states: 'Reduction of the shadow economy without repression — with new, economically justified rules and a debt amnesty, we will bring people back to Latvia and its economy.' What does that mean? Debt collection rules must not prevent a person from earning income with which to repay debts. If a debtor working as an employee can find additional work, for example, as a self-employed person, then his additional income should be subject to the same lenient deduction regime (30-40%) as if he had only one source of income. It simply cannot be that if a person earns one euro more, he gets not a cent from it. But in the current 'reirism' there are such places in the regulation. Because the philosophy of reirism is to catch everyone and force them. And in reirism nobody cares that with that approach many simply leave and thus disappear to their family, society, and the state. Contrary to the style practiced by JV, where the shadow economy is seen as some kind of phenomenon of badly behaved people that is to be eradicated simply by finding and punishing everyone who works in a way invisible to the state, our approach is to create such a legal space where potentially economically active citizens voluntarily start to operate. We are not talking about a general amnesty for all kinds of debts in the program. We are talking about strictly defined parameters by specialists, and the forgiveness of debt applies only to sanctions for tax debts, not the unpaid taxes themselves. And there are special conditions, which if violated, the cancellation of sanctions is lifted. We are right-wing, and individual responsibility is the foundation of our approach. Individual responsibility means that one must answer for one's mistakes. But we also know that no person is perfect, everyone may stumble. As those belonging to Christian civilization, we acknowledge forgiveness and giving second chances. We despise irresponsibility. @partijaMMN

And now imagine - 100,000 voters quietly mutter to themselves: "My voice won't change anything in the ratings..." Fear of changing something is people's biggest obstacle.
From@ArteikoWell, looking at party ratings (let's admit they can't always be trusted), and previous election results, you can see that the average Latvian voter won't step out of their comfort zone and will vote for a pragmatic centrist party!

The new LENIN - the progressive Šuvājevs announces that their main goal while working in a destructive coalition, which wasted billions of euros building 'Briškens' GOLDEN RAILS, MONSTERS at the airport, …., was to prevent Šlesers from coming to power! 😂 That means that the policy of the Progressives and Unity is completely bankrupt, because they do not offer to develop Latvia's economy and attract investments to Latvia, because their only offer is AGAINST ŠLESERS and FOR organizing PRIDE in Latvia!
⚠️RECIPE TO NOT OVERPAY WITHOUT CHEATING! A very simple example! If municipalities had bought Starlink internet kits and after the storm in a crisis situation had not relied on LMT, Bite, or Tele2, then the communication problem could be solved much more simply! A Starlink kit costs from about €199, and internet from €45 per month. No need for million-euro procurements, tenders, consultants, and whatever European projects! But we already know - our state and municipal institutions really like big tenders and procurements where you can “cheat”. But what can you cheat from one Starlink kit for €199?! 😁 That's probably the whole problem! What do YOU think, where is the problem?!
