Wheels up for a visit to #Sweden, a longstanding friend, partner in the EU, and a NATO Ally since 2024. We have forged a true alliance, underpinned by Sweden’s first NATO mission to Latvia. 🇸🇪🇱🇻🇪🇺 Looking forward to meeting my friend @MariaStenergard.

16803It doesn't matter whether our country's highest officials have more information about the reasons for the CIA director's visit to Moscow, because the main thing was, is, and remains something else: Latvia must become a fortress in the military sense. Both for creating a drone army and for involving and preparing the whole society for all possible scenarios (there are plenty of examples - not only Ukraine or Israel). Unfortunately, it is clearly visible that our party politicians have done nothing about this in the past 4 years and are still doing nothing now: still none of us knows how exactly we could help and act. They mumble something about 72-hour bags, but even gas stations, communications, and state radio, as we learned thanks to the storm, would be paralyzed within an hour. Please let's forget about all kinds of Rail Baltica, NGOs and other pseudo-problems - we need a government that is capable of preparing the country and society for X hour. Task #1.
✅ I can already see with the naked eye how the LSM editor-in-chief receives encouraging calls to cling to her chair from like-minded Guntis Sloga, Sanita Jemberga, Nellija Ločmele and Andris Šuvajevs, to prevent “various puffy nationalist elements” from entering the leadership of the public media. 🙏 Let us wish, friends, good luck to Anita in her fight for the chair. It doesn't matter what some radio workers think. 🍉 In their place, we will put activists from the association “For a Free Palestine”. There is already a precedent. 🇵🇸 The state-budget-funded portal @SatoriLV appointed as news editor an activist of the organization ProtestsLV and election candidate of the party @Progresivie, Agnese Radziņa. #TāTurpināt
From@realNepareizais“LSM editor-in-chief Anita Brauna had been left without communications during the storm – thus one of the main links in coordination was missing.” — If I told you, you wouldn't believe it … 🙃 https://t.co/ZKhbTs4boq

@maijaroze_ @ast_lv @Sadalestikls If they don't clear, then electricity supply depends on wind whims, weather forecasts. Protection of high-voltage lines should be basic, but in offices such logic apparently doesn't work.
From@maijaroze_@guntarsv @ast_lv @Sadalestikls And what does it give to clear the legally allowed 13m wide strip, if the tree length is about 35m?

Yesterday, on Ukraine's Independence Day, I was presented with an order that belongs to the entire Latvian people. I publicly accepted it, saying loudly - "this order is due to every Latvian resident who tirelessly supports Ukrainian soldiers and residents, because we know very well...." Fellow countrymen, this order is for you, for everyone who has given their money, time, energy, thoughts and heart for Ukraine, for the victory of good over evil! This award is for each of you - I just brought it home from Kyiv!
From@Brivibas36During a working visit to Kyiv, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs with a Ukrainian state award – the Order of Merit, 1st class – as a token of gratitude for Latvia's significant support for Ukraine. 📷 Office of the President of Ukraine https://t.co/6TSkJhPrkR

From@1980Aktuell🔴🇱🇻 Latvia's Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs: 🌊 'The situation in the Strait of Hormuz brings Russia money. 💰 This money is turned into rockets, which then fall on Ukraine. 🇺🇦🚀 ⚠️ Russian rockets continue to use components of Western origin. If we want to stop Russian rocket production, we must completely ban the sale of these components. 🛑🚀 This way we can help prevent Russian rocket attacks on Ukraine.' 🇺🇦

From@Arlietas🇺🇦 Ukraine has long been critically important in ensuring global food security. 🇺🇦 Even amid relentless attacks, Ukrainian farmers continue to produce and supply food to people affected by crises. ⚫️ However, Russia continues to target Ukraine's ports and grain harvest, humanitarian infrastructure, and civilian commercial shipping, deliberately disrupting the world's food supply. ❗️These are not just acts of aggression against Ukraine, but also crimes against the world's most vulnerable people, using food as a weapon. ‼️ Latvia calls on the international community to take a firm diplomatic stance and demands an end to these attacks and restrictions. @Krisjanis_K It will be. In the next video... there are so many insights, concrete examples, and already solutions that a separate podcast needs to be made.
From@Krisjanis_KGood overview. And one very important sentence: “But currently there are very significant technological and strategic changes in the war — unfortunately not all in Ukraine’s favor.” These changes are definitely not in our favor either. It would be important to understand more about what this is about…. https://t.co/t0alaoWTFS

From@JazepsBaskoIf Anita Brauna loses communications during a storm and has no way to restore them, then she has a personal excuse for inaction. She is clear. But if the notification of all of Latvia depends on whether Anita Brauna has communications, then something is very wrong with the organization.

From@liana_langaBut what is the difference between BBC and LSM, why can't LSM imitate the BBC model? Because BBC is international, but LSM should be a NATIONAL media! The longer this misunderstanding lasts, the deeper the crisis will become! https://t.co/XLSwj0INg9

From@IvoButkevicsPolitics is not how it is. Politics is how it looks. When it comes to Bauska or Preiļi, the government breaks the arms of locals just to put up wind turbine poles. When it comes to places where they themselves have summer houses, then they threw developers over the threshold of MinKaba by the scruff of the neck.
