@kr_klavins A party that is against Latvia and Latvians. And such a person was issued clearance to VNO by security institutions. Who do the VDD menti, MIDD pensioners, SAB dilettantes work for? Yes, they work for those who order the music in Latvia.

We are grateful to our Italian allies for serving in #NATO Baltic Air defence mission and maintaining integrity of NATO airspace. A foreign unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down last night by our Italian allies above Eastern Latvia. 🇮🇹🇱🇻#WeAreNATO https://t.co/o46ULLYKJn

✅ THREAT OVER! We inform that the threat in the airspace has ended. Allied fighters have successfully shot down the unmanned aerial vehicle entering the airspace! Further information will follow on the National Armed Forces social media accounts 'Latvian Army'.

The State Police has initiated a new service inspection. Now the leadership of the State Police will have to decide what punishment to apply to the police crew that amiably chatted in Russian with two provocateurs who provoked NBS soldiers in the border zone. Order must be!

@ParaTr00per That is not in Latvia's security interests to discuss everything publicly and show in detail the serious failures. There were 5 years to prepare and fix everything, not to do PR.

@AndrisKulbergs well, nobody (I hope) expects results in 2 months 🙂 and I understand that we definitely have quite a few people who will slow down this preparation in every possible way. but still, I would like to see a bit 'louder' preparation. more frequent and, as far as possible, more detailed communication

Night drone incident! Thank you to the National Armed Forces and NATO allies for their professional and operational response, successfully destroying the unmanned aerial vehicle that entered Latvian airspace in the middle of the night. Units are currently searching the area. Leadership is in contact with Balvi Municipality. We will inform you as soon as additional information is available. This is proof that Latvia's airspace is being protected. At the same time, such incidents remind us that we must continue to strengthen Latvia's eastern border surveillance and counter-drone capabilities in order to detect, identify, and neutralize any potential threat as quickly as possible.

@ParaTr00per Aren't we working? There is a concrete plan for R. Melnis together with J. Dombrava to accomplish it. That's what we're working on, carrying out procurements and improving procedures, learning from Ukraine and integrating NATO. Accomplishing it within 2 months is a utopian demand.

@AndrisKulbergs ☹️ well... then, please, work on it so that it is ready - while we still have time to prepare.

It is important to regularly remind ourselves and appreciate our freedoms. Freedom to think and express oneself. Freedom to obtain a good education throughout Latvia. Freedom to receive good health care. Freedom to build an economically stable life for oneself and one's family. Today especially I want to remind about the freedom to move, speak, vote, and criticize the government. These seem self-evident only as long as democracy works. Authoritarian states build walls not only so people cannot get in. Sometimes they build them so people cannot get out. Yesterday marked 65 years since East Germany closed the border on 13 August 1961 and began building the Berlin Wall. Freedom is not self-evident. It must be protected and used. https://t.co/ic40CkphLC

Andris Grafs is the vice president of the Baltic Corporate Governance Institute in Latvia, a person who for years has been explaining how the state should “properly” manage its 70+ capital company monsters. He did not build the system from scratch, but is one of its main architects and defenders: “independent” boards, clear shareholder mandates, “good governance”. The result? The state still holds too many companies that live in a comfort zone, compete with private ones and periodically ask for taxpayers' money. airBaltic is just the most striking example: again losses, again a new “rational” business plan, again 225 million in temporary money and fleet reduction. How much? More than a billion has already been invested in this national pride, only to again ask for state support? Ošlejs has already calculated that 400 million are needed. There is no such thing as a state-owned company that works efficiently. State capitalism is a curse that sucks resources from those who create value and feeds those who merely manage it. Every manager gets a million in their account each year. Latvia suffers not only direct losses, but also from lost growth, from capital trapped in “strategically important” companies, from distorted competition, and from the fact that politicians and “experts” still believe they can manage better than the market. It's time to stop playing with taxpayers' money. Sell, privatize, and let the market do what the state has never been able to do — create real value. https://t.co/r2SR2anLZQ

Attitude towards animals must be respectful. Animals are not things whose value is determined solely by market price. Animals cannot defend their rights – people must do it.

@Broks Almost no political force thinks about the economy and earning money, except us. 100% of them think about dividing up the money.

From@Broks

In party programs we very specifically write – 5% of GDP for defense. Correct, it cannot be otherwise. However! Reading the programs, it is much harder to find the other figure – how big a Latvian economy we want to achieve? Because 5% is only a mathematical formula. 5% of 40 billion is 2 billion. 5% of 50 billion is already 2.5 billion. What will Latvia's GDP be in four years? What growth do we want to achieve? And which three or five decisions will lead us there? Perhaps before dividing up percentages of GDP, we should talk much more seriously about how we will increase GDP itself and what goals we set.

It is hard for serious people to take seriously the theater of the absurd that the pre-election environment and the media and regulation of political activity shaping it have become. If you think this pre-election matter can be approached seriously, I suggest you try! Those who want to stay sane laugh.

@JazepsBasko Do you want at all costs to avoid anyone taking your list and offer seriously? You are doing well – soon you will be like Šlesers, who over these years has been selecting people of one particular taste, values and intellect-deprived ones for his breed of hard-core voters.

End of the film. And https://t.co/eZZUjWWs5U will again vote for the same ones and say that demographics are a problem all over the world. Only Latvia is the worst of all and we are the smallest nation.. That is why - this is deliberate self-destruction on live broadcast. Maybe something needs to be changed? MMN

The number of births in the first half of the year has decreased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year. Recently, fewer than a thousand are born each month. In 2026, only about 11.5 thousand will be born in total. https://t.co/g7YHYocoli

This year, of the 2.5G€ base budget deficit, the social budget covers 0.5G€, which would be enough to add on average €100 per month to pensions! However, @AndrisKulbergs' government, contrary to promises, does not reduce spending, but indexes pensions for next year by only €30-40! https://t.co/VDpLk5u4m1
