It rarely happens that I get to visit unfamiliar pubs, although I could and would like to more often. I received a 'Zdravstvuyte/Labdien' greeting from a waiter during the week at two buffets - 'Mills' in Skanste and 'DoorSea' on Antonijas Street. I replied: in 2012 we voted that bilingualism would not exist in Latvia, just so you know.

Based on the company's ability to show return on capital without tax surcharges in the free market. In short.. could also be longer.

By what criteria will someone be given money and another not? By numerology, intuition, signs of nature?

Wonderful. Finally the Ministry of Education and Science again has a minister who is not afraid to make tough decisions. Thanks @IIndriksone Soon the chorus of concerns and lamentations will begin. Don't listen to them. Let's talk about the exam content. https://t.co/3LEp7mjuKJ

RED DEMAND FOR DOMBRAVA'S RESIGNATION! As a former Interpol investigator whose specialization was combating illegal migration and human trafficking, I can state that organized illegal migration does not occur through legal border crossing points. It happens bypassing legal border control points - along forest roads, forest trails, or underground tunnels under the border. Why does Dombrava, as Minister of the Interior, knowingly or unknowingly, or out of ignorance - I don't know his true intentions - but as Minister of the Interior he must not mislead the people that closing legal border crossing points is connected to illegal migrants. Because to claim such a connection, there must be specific, verifiable, and fact-based evidence. Currently, both Latvian cargo and transit cargo to Europe have stopped at the border. Latvian entrepreneurs, the Latvian economy suffer, and supply chains of other European countries are also affected. What do you think is the real reason for closing border crossing points? And why should Latvian entrepreneurs and us taxpayers pay for these decisions?

The Prime Minister also emphasized that for maintaining state security, the government is considering all possible options to address the illegal migration problem https://t.co/PE9xutdeca

The Rosļikovites and Šleserites have demanded my resignation. Let the pro-Kremlin parties shout, rage and worry, but as long as I am in this position, I will strengthen our national security interests. https://t.co/t5HNGF2g

Today the Cabinet of Ministers adopted Latvia's position prepared by @Arlietas for negotiations on raising EU tariffs and expanding sanctions against Russia and Belarus. We are moving national import restrictions to public consultation, and again to the EU sanctions list.

National internal security begins with the people who carry out their duties for society every day – police officers, border guards, firefighters and other employees of the internal affairs services. That is why the state has an obligation not only to demand high professionalism from them, but also to provide proper support. During my government, concrete decisions were made to strengthen the internal affairs services – from 1 January 2025, officials received an additional bonus of 300 euros, while salaries were also increased. Support was also strengthened for border guards, who every day face the challenges posed by illegal migration on Latvia's external border. The reinforced border guard regime was extended and bonuses were provided for working under increased workload and responsibility. Security cannot be ensured with statements or loud promises alone. To retain experienced professionals in the internal affairs services and attract new employees, a consistent policy and concrete decisions are needed. That is why the question to the new Minister of the Interior @janisdombrava – what are the concrete solutions to continue strengthening the internal affairs services, provide officials with the necessary support and preserve the state's security capacity in the long term?

@Vinny4474178642 Viestur, the judiciary is independent - therefore the sports games are organized entirely at the participants' own expense. Already for the 24th time.

@EdvardsSmiltens I wonder how many thousands this togetherness has cost? Sorry. You surely got it.

@uldisaugulis @martinskazaks Good day! We invite you to review the list between the ministry and the Bank of Latvia and not to spread misleading information.

For more than 2 months now, the leadership of @LatvijasBanka has not found time for a conversation with me about the guidelines - I apologize - the impact of a MISUNDERSTANDING on Latvian farmers and the economy as a whole. I still hope that @martinskazaks will eventually find a moment for a discussion that is important for all our farmers.
