16850Together with Minister of Defence Raivis Melnis, we visited @group_patria, where one of the most significant stories of Latvia's defence industry development is taking shape. Here, cooperation between Latvia and Spain in the defence industry is practically visible – Spanish ASCOD infantry fighting vehicles are being assembled in Latvia. This project gives Latvian companies the opportunity to join international production chains, adopt technologies, develop competences and build high value-added manufacturing right here in Latvia. The military industry is becoming an increasingly important part of Latvia's economy. Therefore, the Ministry of Defence, together with the Ministry of Economics, needs to improve its long-term vision so that strengthening defence capabilities simultaneously becomes an opportunity for Latvia's economic growth. Raivis Melnis has such a vision. He is a sector professional who understands defence needs and understands the industry's role both in national security and economic development. The industry itself also appreciates this. This difference is especially clearly visible compared with the previous pro-political leadership, during which political slogans and loud declarations dominated too often, rather than consistent action and long-term strategy.
Mass immigration policy must be stopped!
@Rita_Medne @austsaule @NormundsZunna @NeredzamaGaisma It was a pleasure to meet in person!
From@Rita_MedneToday, at the green market, I went to intercept @austsaule, but I myself was intercepted by @NormundsZunna :) We had a sincere conversation, I clarified some nuances about the party's plans that interested me. I boasted about my achievements in Austošā Saule, mentioning our invisible candidate @NeredzamaGaisma :)

@Vinotava @jtaurens @AndrisKulbergs It's not that what Lāma said is only nonsense. It's also worth listening. One thing can be understood - academic degrees are not always in sync with objective reality.
From@VinotavaBrilliant response by Elza Lāma to the toxically masculine and academic-world-unreached prime minister @AndrisKulbergs. https://t.co/hbDugHqHU4

@buvnieciba67295 @Apvienotais_ @RaimondsBrg With Kulbergs we are like-minded, having equivalent views and vision on what should be done so that each of us lives better. That simple. If you want, call it fanboying. I don't mind :)
@IGargurns @BaigaisMurkskis I watched everything, a fantastic person, a guarantor of humanity's common sense..
From@IGargurns@BaigaisMurkskis @Chapis Fragments taken out of context, they are not worth paying attention to, so that we would even try to answer them, knowing the whole interview, which itself contains answers. The rest is dust compared to the evil of communists, which they have carried out since 1990 in Latvia. Did I make myself clear ?😡

A “bridge to nowhere” standing in Tukums municipality actually doesn’t lead anywhere. You can’t get anywhere on it—you’ll simply stay in place. So it’s not dangerous. But those bridges built by the rule-makers of the last dozen years—they truly lead nowhere. Surrender and apathy also lead nowhere. The collective desire to exclude politics from life leads nowhere. The idea of driving politicians away like lepers from central city squares leads nowhere. How ironic—articulate and open politics is driven away from the very place where we all come together and, looking each other in the eye, could actually argue practically and maybe agree on something. But no. Politics must be done remotely in the most unsuitable form—in deep solitude, each on their own phone, scribbling their atomized individual thoughts. Or filming videos where we stare at ourselves for minutes. We change the rules. Politics must return to city squares. We won’t drive away the sausage vendors, because they too must participate in the discussion. Unless they are ready to fulfill some further bureaucratic requirement for the next holidays. No, well, if they don’t care, they can keep selling while they may. When they no longer can, they’ll drive away or go work in the state administration to regulate what remains.

From@janisdombravaInterior and defense services will jointly prevent threats in the border zone. Young men with criminal or terrorist backgrounds are trying to cross the border. Among illegal immigrants there are sometimes persons of European origin who deliberately damage our communications infrastructure. They quickly enter our territory, cause damage, and just as quickly return to the Belarusian side. At the same time, it is essential to prepare infrastructure in the border zone to prevent military threats, including building drone detection and counteraction capabilities. I am pleased that we have reached a common understanding with Defense Minister R. Melnis and Prime Minister A. Kulbergs that both defense and interior services must jointly protect the state against external threats. It is very important for us to take care of the security of our border.

We have a future if the progressive scum is far from the wheels. Today in Ikšķile. Tomorrow the second day of the World Cup in inline slalom.

@IvoButkevics It became a problem for the current government after the ĢP protest letter. Kulbergs' decision to do nothing is a big mistake - it's only normal that an opposition party points that out. JV's rhetoric right now is, of course, ridiculous. In the previous government, JV did everything to sweep this under the rug.
From@IvoButkevicsThe attempts of 'New Unity' and 'Progressives' to make the absurd support of the 'New Unity' and 'Progressives' government for woodworkers a problem of another government might not have been the best tactic... No, seriously! Someone had to come up with this and 'sell' it to the others. And they 'bought' it!😁

From@jaunupsWe were at @attistibai in Gulbene today. An agitation tent during the pre-election period is a special genre. Basically three themes - jobs in regions, healthcare and demographics. People don't feel the government's decisions. Nothing has changed. Everything is left to drift. Only as much as one can carry on one's own shoulders. It's important that there is a strong municipality. Gulbene is lucky with this. Something like that.

From@RaivisZeltitsThe red 'Progressives' must not lead anything. In hybrid war conditions, giving them the Defense Ministry was negligence towards state security. While the NBS demanded action, Sprūds told the public nonsense about a 'drone superpower'. On October 3, they must be left in deep opposition! https://t.co/2TJiIsFkAw

Meeting with the people of Vidzeme in Valmiera, many questions were raised about what truly matters to people right now. People want to live better, and concrete results are appreciated – pension supplements, support for young families, lower prescription drug prices, as well as the fact that we can speak Latvian in Latvia. However, almost every conversation also expressed concerns about demographics. People also ask about the big national projects. Many are looking for an answer as to whether Latvia needs Rail Baltica. As for airBaltic, there is mostly no doubt – people understand its importance to Latvia, but at the same time they want to know whether further state investment will be needed.
