Kulbergs promises to put state interests above personal ones

From@ZelenskyyUaMy warmest congratulations to @AndrisKulbergs on his convincing victory in Latvia’s parliamentary elections. This strong result reflects the trust of the Latvian people in your leadership and vision for the country. Ukraine deeply values Latvia’s unwavering friendship and support. I look forward to further strengthening our strategic partnership. Wishing you every success in serving the Latvian people!

From@IrlEmbUkraineTogether with other Heads of Mission in Kyiv, we take note with concern of the Russian MFA's threat against diplomats and foreign citizens in Ukraine. Russia is bound by the Vienna Convention and international humanitarian law. We stay in Kyiv.

Stability preserved or nevertheless lost influence and voters? In these Saeima elections, support for the National Alliance has also declined. Did the newly arrived "Austošā Saule Latvijai" in the related political wing take the votes? And how does the National Alliance itself assess the results? #Vēlēšanas2026 🖥️ https://t.co/YDX62W934F

@AndrisKivics I didn't understand that flash mob of crossing Ceriņš out — what has he done, defected, betrayed?
From@AndrisKivicsI am glad that Jonīte, traitor Ceriņš, and the tennis-ball manipulation have not been diagnosed. But I would vote for Dace Bargo.

@MjvVeide @knowhow881 With pleasure I patch this unforgivable hole in your awareness https://t.co/aT80fzNX4h
From@MjvVeide@E_Stendzenieks @knowhow881 Roughly like that 😁 at least I know what Grostiņš looks like; Rivu I know only by name 😁 but Grostiņš's chances for the Saeima are weak, so he has to poison the 7 elected from Rīga and one reserve 😁

It was precisely the government's internal squabbles and delays with changes that were one of the reasons why some residents stayed at home – that is how Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) assesses the low voter turnout. He stresses that there will be no room for huge compromises in the new government, and promises strict control over coalition partners so that no 'gifts' are prepared in the last weeks of the government change. #Vēlēšanas2026 🖥️ https://t.co/wB2V6DOKaJ
In these elections, “Latvija pirmajā vietā” showed the second-best result. It received 13% of the votes. The party's leader Ainārs Šlesers, both during the pre-election period and now, continues to repeat that the new government for the “Apvienotais saraksts” of Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs must be formed together with him. The math allows it on one hand, but that alone is not enough. #Vēlēšanas2026

@MjvVeide @knowhow881 I think he has unsuccessfully run in all sorts of ways from completely unimaginable and about a million lists. First success! That's also not far from Markus Riva at Eurovision. https://t.co/XxoKAOaLyT
From@MjvVeide@E_Stendzenieks @knowhow881 Yes, he will be your colleague at Riga City Council, since almost the whole SV faction has made it into the Saeima, the list stretched as far as him too.

Meloni after Kulbergs' victory: “The Latvian people want to defend their freedom and security”
I was already a bit annoyed that it would become boring in the Riga City Council after Brēmanis, Jūlija and Slaviks. But my worries were in vain, because my favorite Igors Kļaviņš will come in place of Mairita Lūse.
@GraudinsMaris @Progresivie This only confirms that progressive values have been imported from foreign countries and are not Latvian values.
From@GraudinsMarisThanks to the DIASPORA! With the last postal votes, Stabilitāte has been pushed BELOW 2% at 1.997%. State money will pass it by! @Progresivie, in turn, gets one more seat in the Saeima thanks to the diaspora. 24.5% abroad voted precisely for PRO.

The choice of Russian-speaking voters in these elections has changed significantly. The most visible force in this field in the previous Saeima – the party “Stabilitātei!” – did not make it into parliament this time. But the main winners of these votes have become “Latvija pirmajā vietā” and “Suverēnā vara/Apvienība Jaunlatvieši”. In the assessment of political scientist Jānis Ikstens, the first appealed to more moderate, while the second – to more radically minded voters. What helped the competing political forces gain votes and what made them lose them? #Vēlēšanas2026
