The party that disrupted and prolonged meetings at Riga City Council will now also enter the Saeima.
“41 people from one party will enter the Saeima, many of whom will be [..] fellow travellers, namely – they will end up there basically because of Kulbergs,” Jāzeps Baško (MMN) said in an LTV discussion about the results of the 15th Saeima elections. #Vēlēšanas2026 https://t.co/jCyxY0wn9y
From@ltvzinas“The two big priorities remain unchanged – security and the economy. On security, in four months Melnis together with Prime Minister Kulbergs has done truly fantastic work, [..] while on the economic side, for now we have rather been engaged in firefighting and crisis management,” Edvards Smiltēns (AS) said in LTV’s discussion on the results of the 15th Saeima elections. #Vēlēšanas2026

Thank you, @ZelenskyyUa . It is important that we have strong governments across NATO’s and the EU’s Eastern Flank, especially in countries bordering the aggressor in the East. This is essential to safeguard our democratic values, strengthen our defence and security, and at the same time carry out the reforms needed to grow our economies. Defence industry cooperation is an area where we must continue building on the strong progress we have already made together with you and 🇺🇦. Support for Ukraine is—and will remain—a priority for Latvia 🇱🇻 and for 🇪🇺. By fighting back against Russia’s occupying forces, Ukraine is not only defending its own freedom and sovereignty—you are helping keep all of Europe safe. We stand with Ukraine. 🇱🇻🤝🇺🇦
From@ZelenskyyUaMy warmest congratulations to @AndrisKulbergs on his convincing victory in Latvia’s parliamentary elections. This strong result reflects the trust of the Latvian people in your leadership and vision for the country. Ukraine deeply values Latvia’s unwavering friendship and support. I look forward to further strengthening our strategic partnership. Wishing you every success in serving the Latvian people!

Andris Kulbergs currently has a unique opportunity to form a national and Latvian coalition. Its composition is obvious – AS, NA and JV. There is no need to delay. I hope Kulbergs' second government can be formed as quickly as the first – experience shows that it can be done if one wants @AndrisKulbergs
@kasparsskincs Why would they expel them just because there are all sorts of scaredy-cats and weaklings who are afraid of de-Russification?
From@kasparsskincsI really hope that NA will come to its senses and expel from the party those who have already been record holders in strikeouts in several elections. Of course, I will keep quiet and won't say those people's names out loud. https://t.co/Oc0hpfSlmQ

From@katrinailjinskaI completely agree. @AndrisKulbergs should not have to share his achievements with JV. If some minister has proven themselves, for example, Melnis, then he can also be invited separately, especially since he is non-partisan. Otherwise, it is very hard to imagine how he could explain to voters and also within AA itself why those who have been driving the country into a hole for 20 years and against whose policy the voter has expressed a very convincing opinion should still be saved. If JV is invited, it will be a huge mistake and disappointment.
