“The two big priorities remain unchanged – security and the economy. On security, in four months Melnis together with Prime Minister Kulbergs has done truly fantastic work, [..] while on the economic side, for now we have rather been engaged in firefighting and crisis management,” Edvards Smiltēns (AS) said in LTV’s discussion on the results of the 15th Saeima elections. #Vēlēšanas2026
From@ltvzinas"If two parties [AS and LPV] could agree on clear action and voters have given both parties a mandate to act, that would be fantastic," said Ainārs Šlesers (LPV), commenting on a possible coalition during an LTV discussion on the results of the 15th Saeima elections. #Vēlēšanas2026 https://t.co/PIKMZV5PK6

From@ThatBloke77Ričards missed the Saeima by just one place. But his father was elected, his wife was elected. Now it remains to find out which of the seven LPV colleagues will suddenly find urgent business outside Jēkaba Street. Family is family, after all. https://t.co/roHmmJlMKn

@io7246 Job was almost a Titan compared to the cowering beaver Ašeradens. In rhetoric, bearing, competence, and intelligence.
From@io7246What did the odious AttīstībaiPar hope for? They are, after all — just like the narodniks — infinitely distant from the people! Snobbery above all.

"It wasn't easy for me, but I managed to achieve that victory and 41 seats for AS and Kulbergs," Guntars Vītols told the media. "There would have been all 42, if not for those communists," he added.
The number of mandates matches what was known at the time of posting at 14:00. Since then, the number of seats has changed slightly for the United List (from 42 to 41 seats) and for "The Progressives" (from 9 to 10).

Scandals involving two ministers and a start without Lemberga: ZZS remains outside the Saeima for the first time (1)
From@Aivars_Jurkalns@Lato_Lapsa Long ago I wrote about JV's expected victory in autumn. Everything is like in a book — a new handsome officer, a new flag, a controlled resource transfer — a few sacrificed personalities and minor reshuffles — the Titanic is sailing, the orchestra is playing, the people down below are rejoicing, the shipowners are rightly celebrating and planning for the iceberg.

From@ltvzinasWhat remains with such a 41-mandate Saeima is to listen to Andris Kulbergs' (AS) vision, because everyone wants to know what the offer to the economy is, Evika Siliņa (JV) said in the LTV discussion on the results of the 15th Saeima elections. #Vēlēšanas2026 https://t.co/O0wQjGFeyP

There will be an opportunity to dictate the terms: AS can form a government with just one partner (1)
From@katrinailjinskaI completely agree. @AndrisKulbergs does not need to share his achievements with JV. If a minister has proven himself, for example, Melnis, then he can also be invited separately, and moreover, he is non-partisan. Otherwise, it is very hard to imagine how he could explain to voters and also within AA itself why those who have been driving the country into a hole for 20 years and whose policies the voter has expressed a very convincing opinion against should still be saved. If they invite JV, it will be a huge mistake and a disappointment.
