I will start by thanking all the voters who went to the elections and voted according to their political beliefs. It is good and right that citizens participate in the electoral process, and I would very much like more people to get involved in policy-making and parties themselves. That alone would raise political quality. Let us remember that a voter's voice does not belong to a specific political force – it is each voter's personal choice, and your vote cannot be 'thrown in the trash'. I would, however, like to urge colleagues from other parties not to use this rhetoric. I express great gratitude to all voters who voted for the 'Austošā Saule Latvijai' (ASL), who did not give in to the noise created by fear and supported us. I would in no way dare to criticize any voter who considered voting for ASL but did not do so for reasons known to themselves – that is your voice and your choice, and I respect it. 'Austošā Saule Latvijai' will continue its work as before, but now with an additional wealth of knowledge. We will not have state funding – just as we have not had it so far – but we are faithful to our ideals. We do not do things just for the sake of doing them – we strive for an ideal. Perhaps a utopia, but that is the core we want to bring to Latvian politics. Thanks to everyone who also supported me individually with 'pluses' – I can promise you that I will improve and will not back away from the views that made you believe in me. Once again – thank you!
