From@NellijaLEven if the exit poll data won't be precise, it is clear that Andris Kulbergs has raised AS's result to a record high and will form the next government. A new era is here - Latvia's first “post-literate” prime minister, who relies on direct video communication on social networks.

“Professionals from outside are important and needed. We need experience from the private sector, not only from the state and municipal sector. From@karlwithanlThe low election turnout nevertheless shows what has long been known - many Latvians will only wake up when a mouse has hung itself in the fridge: we still have to get to that point. Thanks to everyone who went. Also to those who voted for the political forces toward which I have for years and years cultivated a fine, oh so fine disgust and hatred; As a civic society we are at a low point - everyone's own shirt is closer to them, only a part cares about what is happening and will happen to Latvia in the future. For the first time I feel genuine joy about JV's result; I am skeptical about Šķēle's grouping entering state power again; Kulbergs, in my view, is not and will not be any kind of man of honour, but time will tell. In any case, it is better than what JV&Co was able to offer us for the last ašpacmit years, but certainly not good enough to boldly look at our country's future. In any case, "I wash my hands in innocence," as some Roman prosecutor said... And remember, Latvian, to whom grilling shashlik seemed more important today - don't grumble too much if you think they are doing you very wrong - you yourself chose by not choosing.
