Today one of the main The New York Times @nytimes articles is about the instrumentalization of migrants on the Latvia–Belarus border as part of Russia's war doctrine. Thank you for bringing this topic to the forefront in one of the world's leading media! 📰 https://t.co/TPqBPCj9E2

@POLITICOEurope @patmalnieksj How can you describe him as populist if his political view is pragmatic and based on data? Don’t lose your credibility @POLITICOEurope ✍🏽🤝

Latvia’s populist Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs will face his first electoral test today — but his head start in the polls is unlikely to shield him from coalition headaches in a contest where Ukraine and Russia are looming large. https://t.co/6uP5QMwXC2

I know elections are secret, but I have told others and urged them to participate, so I am not afraid of my voice. My vote is for NA, I managed to cross out, but there is no shortage of pluses either. If there were a chance, I would choose the best of NA and ASL in one party. 🇱🇻

"Pleasure to host Foreign Affairs"... Seems she has already managed to knock one back, if words are starting to disappear. https://t.co/RsBb8hAFT5

There is great interest from international journalists in Latvia and the elections in Latvia: a pleasure to host at the Foreign Ministry both George Brandis from The Sunday Morning Herald @smh and Sweden's TV4. https://t.co/0zgnxKbFO2

🇱🇻 In these photos my son grows. And in a sense, so does our Latvia. Valters and I have a tradition. At every election, one photo at the ballot box. Always together. In the first photos he is very small - still in my arms. Later he is already standing next to me. Today he is already 14. And this time, looking at our old photos, one thought struck me: these are the last Saeima elections in which Valters is still standing next to me. In the next ones he will make his choice himself. With his own conviction and his own hand. Perhaps that is how time is best measured. Not in years, but in how the child we once carried in our arms grows into a person who will have to take responsibility for our Latvian state. Today I also made my choice - for people and a team that I trust and am convinced can solve the accumulated problems in security, economy, finance, education, health and other matters - for list No. 7, the United List @Apvienotais_ and the prime minister - Andris Kulbergs! @AndrisKulbergs 🌼 But regardless of what your choice is, go and make it. Because election day is not only about politicians. It is about all of us Latvian patriots, our families and Latvia, which one day we will fully hand over to our children's hands. Today our hands are still together at the ballot box. Next time - everyone will already have their own voice. 🇱🇻

I usually don't care what people vote for in elections, the main thing is that they go and vote, but this time I'll agree with @E_Stendzenieks. If you vote for @Progresivie - you are mentally ill. And if you don't see anything wrong in what Enģelis has done and what colleagues have covered up - you are incurably ill.

Can the new, expensive VDAA (CVK) election systems predict the future - at 14:40 the number of voters in individual polling stations (in Riga, Zemgale) by 20:00 has already been published? https://t.co/M5lNO7OIFp

What would @AndrisTaurins preach if some deputy or official had had sexual relations with his underage child, who had sought help from the municipality?

A JV/Pro lawyer proclaims that it is normal to have sexual relations with a 16-year-old child - an orphan who has lost her parents, is left alone and expects support from adults, but instead receives sexual relations. Do other National Guard members also think this way? https://t.co/89eNiEL25J

17 years is enough for a child to grow up, leave, and start paying taxes in another country. Those who stay and put a plus next to the same Unity are doing something subtler than a mistake. They repeat the experiment and are surprised that the result does not change. Einstein called that madness. Here we call it stability.
