There is great interest from international journalists in Latvia and the elections in Latvia: a pleasure to host at the Foreign Ministry both George Brandis from The Sunday Morning Herald @smh and Sweden's TV4. https://t.co/0zgnxKbFO2

@Sarmite_Kolate I once read that in the interwar period the Baltic Germans managed to move around 11,000 voters on election day (don't quote me, maybe my memory deceives me). Before the percentage threshold, it was probably possible to get a full deputy with less than one percent; all of that carried great weight.
From@Sarmite_KolateHowever, the funniest Saeima elections were when we organized several voter buses to Kurzeme (the nearest polling stations are in Strazde and Blīdene) and left the Tautas partija office at 6 in the morning.

From@POLITICOEuropeLatvia’s populist Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs will face his first electoral test today — but his head start in the polls is unlikely to shield him from coalition headaches in a contest where Ukraine and Russia are looming large. https://t.co/6uP5QMwXC2

Red carpet, queues and police intervention - how elections are taking place in different cities of Latvia
✅ Today I will go vote for the National Alliance, among other things, so that I have colleagues in the Saeima to poke about the state having to provide broader support to parents with children with autism spectrum disorders! ❤️ We don't know what genius lies hidden behind each of these little people! #HumaneLatvia
From@FertelisI worked in London for several years, in the Eastham area. Often walking from the Underground (metro) to the dwelling where I lived, all along the streets there was a smell of curry in the air. (paradox, I greeted Salam at an Iranian eatery!) It is better to live a 10-minute walk from the sea, not from the metro! Go and vote ❗️ https://t.co/esTXgeMk4k

From@iduallianceThe IDU extends its best wishes to our Latvian member @VL_TBLNNK in today’s Parliamentary Election. Within the country’s government, the National Alliance has steadfastly implemented centre-right policies, supporting the fight against corruption, promoting responsible economic policies, and standing up to authoritarian forces both at home and on the world stage. The IDU proudly encourages all voters to support the NA in today’s election, strenghtening #Latvia’s voice within the international democratic community. 🇱🇻🗳️

From@vellapastsI hadn't gone to a polling station in such a euphoric mood for some 20 years. You have to be a little brave to step out of the comfort zone of 'voting for the lesser evil' and truly vote for your choice, not what polls show or the paid propagandists of the authorities chant. @austsaule

From@BorovkovsSomehow a stabilized political sob story about @JanisIesalnieks surfaced in the feed ... Selma has so many odious posts, after which she deletes her account. :) I wonder if the Progressives in Jūrmala are still bothered by the Latvian national flag, so as not to anger anyone? #just_asking... Unnoticed #Interfronte. Surely the little boy stupidly muttered about secretly cherished conversations in the Progressives' dwelling about nostalgic opportunities to deport or otherwise repress someone.. Ah, such failure! Red is and remains forever red. Here honestly and openly about oneself - #IAmAntifa!
