Of course, that is the main disease. Reducing functions enshrined in laws and Cabinet regulations is what needs to be reviewed immediately at the Cabinet and Saeima level, amending 100–200 items. That requires a clear mandate and will be done as a priority in the next government. It is the only way to truly reduce expenditure.
@AndrisKulbergs@ainarsbr11 Maybe look at how the tasks have changed, how many tasks for state institutions have you eliminated?
If politicians only give institutions new tasks but do not review existing ones, then of course the number of employees will grow.
