Violence loves silence. It seems fitting that the most self-righteous and loudest “defenders” of principles, rights, values, and truths – the Progressives – are the ones who kept quiet and covered up an abuser in their own ranks. They quietly asked him to resign his mandate because he “burned out.” They did not go to the police because “the victim didn’t want to.” And something else, something about the United List as well. Even the Angel (how ironic) himself is explaining an “unethical,” “unprofessional” “incident,” but everything is fine because he is “going to therapy.” How convenient. And how despicable. You have lost all shame, discredited yourselves, and undermined people’s rational perception of everything you have self-righteously and sanctimoniously raged about in recent years – both good and bad.

@ubinators @Elina_Treija @ProBono_Latvia @CVK_zinas @JaunsLV Concordia was the best university in the Baltics, with an additional US college diploma, because it was accredited in the US. I graduated with two diplomas. The comment you are making applies to a later decline period after owner Susi misappropriated the university's funds.

@Elina_Treija @ProBono_Latvia @AndrisKulbergs @CVK_zinas @JaunsLV Concordia is a very shady university in Tallinn that long lacked accreditation. It has been liquidated.

Another person in my place would have said that NA is now in coalition not only with trans people, queers, antisemites, Hamasites, Arafatists, prides and communists, but also with pedophilia coverers, but I am polite and will keep quiet. We'll see, we'll see what the vote will be. https://t.co/TyjCY4yX19

Next week the Supreme Court will have its say in the Stankeviča family apartment case. This year the Saeima amended the Criminal Procedure Law, and the story that the law prevents leaving the apartment to the family will no longer work. https://t.co/ANXYN86vhf https://t.co/UvgKcJqBLN

The storm did not spare the border. There was extensive damage to the border fence. In the first days, border guards themselves and together with firefighters cleared the fence of fallen trees. After that, in cooperation with the NBS, temporary barriers were set up to cover the breached sections. The Ministry of the Interior managed to promptly secure Cabinet support for allocating funding to restore the fence. Afterwards, the Border Guard, in cooperation with the maintenance operator and the builder, is fully restoring the damaged fence. Despite the extensive damage, very soon all sections of the fence on the Latvia–Belarus border will be fully restored. Thanks to everyone involved for their work! In parallel with the fence restoration work, border guards continue to prevent illegal immigrants from trying to enter our country. In total, this year 11,699 attempts by persons to enter the country have been prevented. Photo: State Border Guard

⏱️ In 1 minute: the main accomplishments in the office of Minister of Justice In four months we have achieved concrete results in all three priorities set by @Tieslietas: assistance to victims of military incidents, a stronger and more independent judiciary, support for Ukraine. At the same time, we have reduced bureaucracy and strengthened election security. Behind each of this work is a person who needs help, a timely court decision, or certainty about their future. That is exactly how policy results should be measured. My responsibility is to ensure that the state is able to protect, help, and provide justice. With such determination I will continue the work I have started! 🇱🇻

In connection with this post, I have filed a submission with the Public Media Ombudsman. This concerns a potentially horrifying case of pedophilia in which a high-ranking Progresīvie politician may have been involved. If Diena's editor Madžiņš is slandering the public media, the public has the right to know it. If the public media indeed made an editorial decision not to cover the victim's story of a possible pedophilia case involving a high-ranking politician, the public has the right to get answers to the question - why?

Since 2020, the state apparatus has grown by +10,500 employees, despite a falling number of employed people and residents. As a result of the municipal reform, where the plan was to save and reduce resources = the number of employees has grown by +2,500. Public services 🇱🇻 are 26% of GDP vs 23% in OECD countries. Public-sector employment is 24% (the highest figure) vs 18% in the OECD. State intervention in the economy has grown by 10 percentage points, to a record-high 46%. In the next 4 years, all of these indicators must be reversed — that is our ironclad plan, if we are given such an opportunity.
