From@ZelenskyyUaI thank all our defenders who are working to send Russia’s sick war back to where it came from. This means thousands upon thousands of people in our defense industry working to ensure that Ukraine has the means to respond to every Russian strike. And thousands of warriors who find and hit Russian targets supporting the war every day. And today, we also have important results from our deep strikes. A target in the Black Sea was hit, as was a site in the Oryol region used to launch and store attack drones. Sanctions were also applied to an oil facility in the Samara region and a supply depot for the occupiers in the Bryansk region. These are exactly the kind of just responses we need right now. We will continue to deprive Russia of the ability to keep this war going.

From@E_StendzenieksYes, I am a doctor, I am a medical council, and here is my verdict, unanimous and final: "Progresīvie" are mentally ill, mentally defective, a unified cult of psychopaths, freaks and perverts, and only because of a historical and social misunderstanding are you in politics rather than in a closed-type medical institution. But that — for now, because all perversions contrary to biology pass like any nightmare and clownery.

Political scientist names the biggest surprises possible in the Saeima elections.
Unlike the other prime minister candidates, I do not have time to prepare for the debates, because I have to run the country and make very difficult decisions, such as today about the legacy left by Rail Baltica. What was shown in the studio was material prepared by myself, in which, in addition to the fresher information provided by the FM on state finances, I inserted my own analysis of all parties' irresponsible promises in programmes without funding coverage. I delve into the numbers myself and, unlike the others, we in AS do not intend to deceive the voters.
From@pucejI see that Kulbergs is already for the second time showing in debates a table prepared by the Ministry of Finance (FM logo in the corner of the table) on the fiscal impact of parties' promises. Is that now some new task for @Finmin? Is the methodology of this table publicly available?

From@Strautini1977@E_Stendzenieks Ērik, you already understand that this scandal is in JV's interests, of course the voter will now not vote for NA, MMN, or LPV, but precisely for JV.

Weren’t the sanctions imposed for the aggression against Ukraine? Somehow, there is no demand for the end of Putin’s war and a just and lasting peace in the statement below. https://t.co/8giMpWUnun
From@teamnavalny❗️ Statement of the Anti-Corruption Foundation on lifting sanctions and releasing political prisoners. We welcome any real efforts aimed at releasing Russian political prisoners. Recently it became known that the US administration is considering easing sanctions against Russia in exchange for the release of those persecuted for political reasons. It is not yet clear whether this idea will become a subject of real negotiations and what they may lead to. But if such a window of opportunity opens, it should be used to secure the release of as many people as possible. We believe that such negotiations cannot be limited to lists of individual surnames. In Russia, hundreds of people are imprisoned for anti-war statements, peaceful protest, support for the opposition, donations to organizations declared 'extremist' by the authorities, and other forms of peaceful political activity. Not all political cases become public, so we believe that compiling a complete list of political prisoners in Russia is simply impossible. Moreover, after the release of some political prisoners, the Russian authorities could the next day open new cases under the same laws, and thus within such a deal we would not really solve the problem. Therefore, we propose a different principle: sanctions relief should be linked not only to the release of individuals, but also to the repeal of repressive norms of Russian legislation and to the cessation of entire categories of politically motivated criminal cases. The decriminalization of Articles 207.3 and 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, known as the articles on 'military fakes' and 'discrediting the army', would mean the release of people convicted under them, the cessation of cases already opened, and the impossibility of opening new cases under these articles. The same principle should apply to politically motivated prosecutions under articles on 'extremism', 'financing extremism', 'justification of terrorism' and similar ones, when peaceful political activity, donations, words, and beliefs are declared criminal offenses. Sanctions are one of the few real levers of pressure on the Kremlin that democratic countries have. If the sanctions regime is to be eased, it is important that each such decision be accompanied by concrete, verifiable, and long-term changes inside Russia. The opportunity to achieve these changes must not be missed, nor should the easing of sanctions be traded for symbolic concessions. We will work to ensure that any such negotiations bring maximum benefit to Russian civil society.
