From@LV_visiem@pineconehiller @ErlateJolanta This year @austsaule was completely blocked from the public media TV debates, because an online survey of 800 people supposedly said they wouldn't get 2%. Such a blockade against the Latvian parties threatens the foundations of democracy in Latvia. A private company is influencing the election result. https://t.co/cfTUWAEA6t

From@JanisIesalnieksIf you vote in Kurzeme for the National Alliance, I especially urge you to support @ArtursButans, who is currently facing an unjust smear campaign. Only because bureaucrats and Artūrs himself do not yet know how to classify his education obtained in Australia, he is being presented as a criminal. In reality, I know Artūrs as one of the most erudite, active, and patriotic young Latvian politicians, who certainly does not deserve this mud. So this is how Latvia welcomes its young people home.. Sad! 😢

From@GintsVilgertsUntil I got acquainted with @J_Hermanis's statistics and forecasts, I didn't know how deep a hole Latvia is in. Now I know what awaits Latvia in the next 3 years, and I know that Kulbergs won't cope with it alone. ☮️🇱🇻

@GintsVilgerts Gint, thanks! I would very much like it if we could publish more happy news about Latvia and if the curves would improve. But there just isn't the material! The system needs to be changed. For changes!

From@IvoButkevics14th Saeima. Three government coalitions. Four years. Now days until the new elections, and Latvian business with Russia still continues. Jedritvai, four years! This will be a truly deplorable chapter in Latvian history. Shame.

From@MykolaKuleba"Russia's turning abducted Ukrainian children into Russian soldiers." Reporter @KathrynDiss traveled to Ukraine for ABC's Foreign Correspondent to expose this devastating reality. After years of indoctrination and militarization, kidnapped kids are being forced to sign contracts and fight against their own country. Save Ukraine helped the journalist embed with our rescue missions and speak with youth who have just escaped occupation. Thank you, Kathryn Diss, for bringing the global mission to bring Ukraine's kids home to a wider audience. 📺 Watch the full report Tuesday, September 29, at on @abcnews and ABC iView. @IlonaKoskina @Jauna_Vienotiba @Progresivie @attistibai Please vote for those that won't fall below the 5% threshold. So JV definitely. Otherwise your vote will also be proportionally distributed to the Kremlin people.
From@IlonaKoskinaNo party is ideal, but this time the elections are quite simple - since fundamental human rights issues matter, only 3 parties remain to choose from. I still need to read the programmes a bit or draw lots at the polling station. @Jauna_Vienotiba @Progresivie @attistibai

From@ArlietasToronto 🇨🇦 The Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs @dacemelbarde delivered Latvia's national statement at the conference “Roads to Peace: Second International Conference on the Return of Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians and Prisoners of War”. Russia’s war has deprived children of their childhood, separated families and subjected Ukraine’s 🇺🇦 civilians and prisoners of war to grave violations. As Latvia 🇱🇻 stressed in its national statement: “Every child must be with their family. Every civilian has the right to a home. Every prisoner of war deserves to return.” Latvia will continue to support the return of Ukrainian children and prisoners of war, document violations and help restore essential basic services in Ukraine. There is no statute of limitations for war crimes. Latvia will continue to support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people on the road to a just and lasting peace. 🔗 Full statement in English: https://t.co/msb7xwelHX @LV_Canada | @LV_Ukraine

From@christogrozevWhat the Kremlin is doing with the AfD now is an almost exact replica of what it did with Dodik, Russia's trojan horse in Bosnia & Herzegovina, in 2014. In September 2014, Dodik was summoned to Moscow and "offered" a "direct" and "lucrative" Gazprom deal, - just weeks before the elections. For Russia, Gazprom/Norstream/Southstream were never economic projects. They were and are political weapons. Incredible that so many in Germany are even considering wading back into that river twice.

From@gatisliepinBefore voting, find out which party it will cooperate with and whether that is acceptable to you. Latvia has a multi-party system — no one gets 51%, so a government can only be formed in coalition with a Saeima majority. @jaunavienotiba will cooperate with all state-minded parties, but will not enter a coalition with populists and pro-Kremlin forces — Šlesers' LPV and Stepaņenko's "Sovereign Power/New Latvians".

From@maijaroze_@AndrisKulbergs @Sadalestikls @Apvienotais_ But it is tragic that the gas in the Inčukalns storage will last only 2-3 months rather than the whole winter season! So the cheap gas will run out at the end of December. And in autumn and winter, gas will have to be bought at a high price. We must prepare for heating tariffs to increase from 1 January!
