@MatissBicevskis Our 2022 programme included a proposal to introduce a mixed electoral system, where half of the deputies would be elected from party lists and the other half in single-member constituencies.

@jureits Improvement: in what direction?

Yes, that is true. The legacy had been left to me, and not only from V, but also from the times of JKP, KPV and ZZS. The same ZZS who have now come to AS and pretend that they were not the ones who made a mess, for instance in transport and finance. https://t.co/K5KEkb7dxO

I wonder why no one has paid attention to how members of other parties, who once were in Vienotība, are now cursing JV, which long ago is no longer the same old V. Siliņa was not the old V, but it was precisely she who had to deal with the "legacy".

Today Delfi tried to grill us. But in such a physically cold studio, nothing can get grilled. I know everyone is fed up with debates (which shows that state funding for the MAF is too much), but at least in this format there was a chance to say some principled things, for which thanks @DelfiLV! https://t.co/rt5cCG8KTo

Daugava Stadium has UEFA category 4, but Latvia still needs a modern national football stadium — a venue with larger capacity and covered stands where we can host major international matches and concerts. It would be a home for football and significant events for all Latvia.

@EvikaSilina @kajbumba The fact that most Riga stadiums are empty is irrelevant. Let's build the next one. It would be good if this construction could be explained by simple stupidity, but unfortunately it's yet another big theft.

@KZorins @kajbumba Football is the most widespread sport in Latvia by number of participants — it is played by children, young people and adults across the country. Therefore, a conversation about football infrastructure is a conversation about opportunities for thousands of Latvian families.

@EvikaSilina @kajbumba Unfortunately, the stadium will not lift our football level in any way. But some will earn from its construction and improvement. https://t.co/CcZUxYpgwO

Britain offered Finland and the Baltic states a “nuclear umbrella” British nuclear-powered submarines are to form the backbone of the deterrence system. According to Commander of the Royal Navy Gwyn Jenkins, the new nuclear deterrence would extend to JEF units and would not require activation of Article 5 of NATO. The JEF includes the United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands.

@tiotyu69 @kajbumba The stadium is not planned to be built with budget funds. Private financing is being sought, together with LFF and EUFA. The state can invest in the management. The city invests the land. But there are definitely various solutions.

@EvikaSilina @kajbumba ...the national stadium...! This is how I'd even go to the elections! I need support for families and children, not for football that kids will play even without Siliņa.

@EvikaSilina @kajbumba Do we really have free funds for another large facility? Is it needed now, when Latvia has no defense against drones?

Russians, Russified and over-Russified people, as a rule, will always advocate for the continuation of the crime of Russification, without even being able to draw the elementary conclusion that in the border region a Russian does not learn the state language because the Latvian state speaks to him in the language of the Russian Federation! #AtkrieviskoLatviju Ērika Staškeviča from TVNET, Polina Šilina from Delfi, Aleksandra Plotņikova from LSM. #SIF_MAF2026

🎾 Long-time Līvāni mayor and “Latvijas attīstībai” leader in Latgale Andris Vaivods believes that Līvāni is proof that products demanded on the world market and well-paid jobs can be created in any Latgale municipality. This is also confirmed by statistics – in terms of wage income created by export companies per capita, Līvānu Municipality has strengthened to second place after Mārupe Municipality. 📖 Read the interview with Andris Vaivods on our website: https://t.co/1tCMposwHA
