A deputy who has committed a criminal offence must be excluded from the Saeima. Drunk driving cases are not so complicated as to wait years for a verdict. https://t.co/YtHfP4xo4n
The coalition must be consistent both with regard to the Constitution and the independence of the judiciary. @Jauna_Vienotiba joined the coalition on the basis of specific assurances from partners, including that the Constitution would not be amended without consensus among coalition partners. These agreements must be strictly observed. That is the responsibility of the coalition leader.
Today @AndrisKulbergs confirmed in conversation that also in these final days before the elections and until the next Saeima begins work, the coalition will maintain a statesmanlike approach and will not allow populist decisions for short-term political gain.
We are ready to work constructively on issues important to the state, but we expect the same responsibility and consistency from coalition partners.
Before Panorāma, I turned on LTV's live stream on the computer; there on Aizliegtais paņēmiens, screaming representatives of SūVāra were visible again. One gets the impression that russia really cares about getting as many Russified voters as possible to vote for this party.
I also remembered Aizliegtais paņēmiens in Cēsis 3.5 years ago, in which they confirmed – in Cēsis everyone speaks/is served in Russian everywhere, it is a Russified environment!
That is also the only LTV programme in 5 years in which, of course, they negatively assessed the #RunāLatviski campaign.

Thank you @Rajevskis@Oslejs and @aseradens for the discussion! Within the framework of the #Vēlēšanas2026 discussions, nothing better has been created in the media this year. Our economy's export capacity and stock market listing are necessary if we want to be a sustainable country. https://t.co/C7I1mnA5Sb via @nralv

@GoldbergsJ@KPgovLV Currently: only administrative liability for legal persons. In the future: if guilt is proven, then also liability for natural persons. Yes, in criminal proceedings there is a different standard of proof, and the possibility that guilt cannot be proven cannot be excluded. Nevertheless, it is better if the possibility to impose criminal liability exists.
@AndrejsJudins@KPgovLV And this contains an apparent contradiction in case law. How does trust in the Court change if the Competition Council proves the cartel in an administrative process, but in criminal proceedings against a natural person it fails to prove guilt. Such a precedent is possible. A cartel in AP has a lighter burden of proof...
Indescribable beauty...

And for a moment I was outraged - how could it be that not all parties were included in this deep analysis. https://t.co/8MnpRDecNYhttps://t.co/QVD4QwEub9

No party is ideal, but this time the elections are quite simple - since fundamental human rights issues are important, only 3 parties remain to choose from. Still need to read the programmes a bit or draw lots at the polling station.

Alvis Hermanis on punishing political irresponsibility. People who have been irresponsible and robbed the state have no place in state administration! The powerlessness of law enforcement authorities is currently clearly visible - therefore we propose merging KNAB, VDD and IDB into an effective structure. https://t.co/2FUQGZrLfP
Do I understand correctly that despite the Saeima's decisions and the government's loud talk, Russian grain is traveling through Latvia just as it always has, and absolutely nothing has changed in reality? Are we continuing to help Russia finance the war?

Today @IIndriksone said what needed to be said during the FIFA president's visit: as long as Russia continues its war against Ukraine, its return to international football is unacceptable.
Future plans for football can be discussed. But with Infantino - the same one who, among other things, is also trying to privatize football - the first thing to discuss is that the aggressor state's return to the fold is unacceptable. At least someone in Riga understood that today.
Thank you Ilze for a clear stance.
