It is still quite strange there where Lielirbes iela exits onto Ulmaņa gatve towards Jūrmala. The designers of these lanes do not understand that rules only work if everyone understands them more or less automatically. Rules are what allow you to count on other road users' behaviour. But at that intersection, even if you know its peculiarity, you cannot help fearing that your traffic neighbours will get confused. And more often than not, they do get confused. Both those who know and those who don't drive in stress.
