From@Jauna_Vienotiba🛡️ NEW UNITY has turned to the Prosecutor General's Office calling for an assessment of the activities of the party "Sovereign Power" and the legality of its funding. Serious reports have emerged in recent days. Jūlija Stepaņenko has received gifts worth almost €420,000 from her father Sergejs Fedotovs, who lives in Russia. Fedotovs, in turn, confirmed to LTV that his company, as a subcontractor, produced anti-tank obstacles for Russia's needs. Viktor Bout, convicted in the US for arms trafficking, has also visited his company. At the same time, the "Sovereign Power" programme provides for suspending Latvia's support for Ukraine, reducing defence funding and abolishing the national defence service. These circumstances raise questions that law enforcement authorities must examine. Therefore, we call on the Prosecutor General's Office to assess whether the party's activities show direct or indirect support for the aggressor state or justification of aggression, and to act as provided by law in the event of violations. 🇱🇻 There is no place for illegal Russian influence in Latvian politics.

"This is unfinished homework": employers criticized the Interior Ministry's draft
"Whereas in the Riga City Council... As a big fan of modal filters and bollards, I can only praise the Progressives' work in the metropolis's growth," the minister stressed. "Moreover, in June, grey Riga blooms in rainbow colors pleasing to the eye, people feel free, relaxed, there is joy and 'It's Raining Man' plays," he added.
From@janisdombravaWhy is it so hard to admit that involving Progresīvie in the government was a mistake against our national security?

From@E_JansThank you @RaivisZeltits for the interesting conversation. The range of topics is so broad that we couldn't discuss everything this time. But one thing is clear: for things to change, @austsaule has to bring the changes. https://t.co/Wt63u9eoiq

"New Unity" asks to check "Sovereign Power" and, if violations are found, liquidate the party.
JV calls on the Prosecutor General to assess the possible liquidation of 'Sovereign Power'.
I would gladly have liked to be prime minister two and a half years ago; now airBaltic has been brought to the point where we cannot turn away a single investor, so says Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs. In his opinion, the Latvian state currently does not have the luxury of defining its own goals.

From@guntarsvOn Elksniņš's office door, which every Daugavpils economic manager sees before the morning meeting, is @aseradens. The minister knew that next year a budget crisis would set in. He knew where their own tradition of squabbling would lead, but he slipped off the stage, so now others have to swallow what Vienotība cooked up🫠

I have sent a reminder to institutions subordinate to the Ministry to continue to strictly ensure that Russia’s attempts to normalise the war and return to the Latvian and international cultural space are not allowed. We are in the fifth year since Russia invaded its neighbouring country Ukraine, and from the first day of the war Latvia’s cultural sector has demonstrated a clear and principled stance. Under my leadership, the Ministry of Culture denounced the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Institutional cooperation with Russian cultural institutions was discontinued, cultural projects were suspended, and existing contacts between industry professionals were reviewed. We are now living in a time when Russia is trying to get back into the international cultural sphere. These attempts are becoming increasingly sophisticated. I once again remind everyone to carefully evaluate cooperation and projects, and I also trust that municipal cultural institutions will heed this call. 🔗More here: https://t.co/mkOLt4AY8a #brīdinājums #drošība #kultūra #ukraina #latvija
@KNL_LTV1 @JanisDomburs Ask @AndrisKulbergs what has been done in 4 months. Turns out nothing - only talk and concessions to the "system".
In such an intense, sensitive pre-election period, the budget cannot be "opened up", says Andris Kulbergs, noting that "the system resists" and that it is not possible to review expenditures in detail within four months.
