@zvejniekameita @LV_visiem @EriksZarahovics @AlvisHermanis1 @partijaMMN @austsaule @VL_TBLNNK Education of course can also determine something, but not always is the document decisive. What contribution would a master's degree in 'gender studies', for example, give to a Saeima deputy?
From@zvejniekameita@LV_visiem @EriksZarahovics @AlvisHermanis1 @partijaMMN @austsaule @VL_TBLNNK Don't talk nonsense, leave that to Stepaņenko, Šlesers and so😡 I follow the debates, Austošā Saule can be for a lot, but to get anything done, a majority is needed. Some of their deputy candidates also have not the best education.

What are you going to purge? Well, then say it! Lay off the army, police, doctors, or teachers? They are all in the public sector. At all levels, you can barely scrape together 100 million from civil servants. Not billions by any means. Then, whether you like it or not, you will have to answer to those who will be elected. If you are so eager for power, realize that it will be you who will have to do something like that, and then your own brothers and sisters will cut off your head. That is exactly what happened to the French with that revolution. After all, you too are revolutionaries?
From@cikvarnest@guntarsv That is exactly why a general purge is needed. #MMN

From@Braze_BaibaThis morning on TV3 the Prime Minister was outraged and reproaches @Arlietas for Latvia defending its security interests in the EU to the end and being able to impose a veto. He thinks we should have agreed sooner, like the other Balts, to removing the 2 oligarchs from sanctions. That is news to me. Unpleasant. 1/2

From@Krisjanis_KLet's be precise. Here the crude Komsomol girl @Braze_Baiba brutally ran over Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs, who yesterday literally had to clean up all the mess she had made. Simply, common Braže has a well-developed Putin thug reflex – in the goal crease you have to strike first🤡😈😈 If honestly, for that mere month the Prime Minister himself would easily carry out the foreign minister's duties, because he has objectively proven himself unexpectedly credibly in exactly this field. Along the way, he would save the intimidated and mobbed @Arlietas employees by putting the Istanbul Convention into practice….😎🤣🤣

Today there was hysteria in the Saeima Budget Committee. We showed the true state of the budget. This follows the Kübler-Ross model (described in the book 'On Death and Dying'). The first stage is denial. They denied the data, refused to believe it, and started shouting. What is it about? You see, the projected budget for the coming years has been deep in the red for a long time. This is publicly known. More than a billion needs to be cut, but mainly by 2030. That is far away. But that is only half the trouble. There are also additional decisions adopted for over 2 billion that need to be cut on top of that. And they have been promised, but money in the budget will be sought only after the elections (because it is a political choice and not for this Saeima). There you have it — so what will we take away? Only the new Saeima may decide that. Logically. And together it is apocalyptic — billions are not millions and not even hundreds. It means limiting public expenditure. Which ones? Well, that will be the choice of the next coalition/Saeima. We showed the apocalyptic hole in the wallet that has been built up over many years. And that is not all. These deficits are if we continue borrowing as before. Up to the brim. To achieve a deficit-free budget, 9 billion need to be cut. You could even dismiss all ministries and shut the state down, and it still would not be enough. So there you have it. Ten years of blatherers in power. What did you expect?
From@IvoButkevicsNegative fiscal space = no money. Not simply no money for additional/new spending, but there is a hole in the budget that has to be filled. With banknotes (received, unissued, or borrowed). Regarding the last option — see my previous tweet... https://t.co/5rf30aJcwu

From@LV_visiemRead this and ask yourself - do we need the Chekhov Theatre? Is there anything valuable in Russian "culture" for a Latvian and a European? Is only putin to blame? Kulbergs comments on Macron's message to Latvia: “We could be the first of the Baltic states” https://t.co/QxLT8baEBx
From@pucejThe coordination of sanctions policy has proven to be beneath all criticism. The Prime Minister, it seems, was the last to learn everything. The Foreign Minister is busy with a campaign. All the years-long claims about how strong personal ties are with Baltic and European politicians have turned out to be just blowing smoke. Latvia had no position at all, and the last-minute awakening proved pointless.
