From@IvoButkevicsYou see, Paris needs those oligarchs out, you see, we cannot be the last ones in the Union to oppose, you see, Brussels does not allow reducing VAT. At this pace, in a week we will hear that the Green Deal is a great opportunity for Latvia's economy. Life in opposition is still much simpler, isn't it? :)

16053@DievaSuns @Arlietas Some of the Nordics are not in the EU. Everyone was against removing the oligarchs, because only 3 countries were “for”, so there was a common position. We were the only ones who imposed a veto and held out until the end.
From@DievaSuns@Braze_Baiba @Arlietas Why did we not have a unified position with the #NB8 countries?

@reinis_aboltins @Jauna_Vienotiba Emotions are an important thing in politics. I can only urge you to think with a cool head and carefully look at what each party offers Latvia. Parties consist of people. Individual mistakes are not the whole organization.
From@reinis_aboltinsIn 2022, @Jauna_Vienotiba mistakenly interpreted the vote as an indulgence granted by voters. There was only one reason for voting in favor of JV — you don't change the government during wartime. It's that simple. That vote demonstrated responsible voters, not support for JV. #augstprātība

@Arturs_Eglitis @Braze_Baiba @Arlietas Again @AndrisKulbergs and @edgarsrinkevics will be able to fix the consequences of brilliant diplomacy for a while.
From@Arturs_Eglitis@Braze_Baiba @Arlietas I assume that your Estonian and Lithuanian colleagues will carefully read this post of yours and your cynical reproaches to our closest allies. Instead of trying to stand with them and convince them, you now even quite directly express reproaches.

From@janrosenowAalborg now has 241,000 m³ of hot water storage, the largest in Denmark, plus 150 MW of electric boilers and a 177 MW seawater heat pump. That's 217 MW of flexible demand, holding one to three winter days of heat. District heating is becoming a critical flexibility resource. https://t.co/eMSO0qC3AA

From@RKrumin@didzisdejus @OKrasnopjorov @martinskazaks The LB are complete idiots! They call it macroeconomics, but they go down to the sector and company level, which is actually microeconomics! Lithuania has for the last 3 years in a row doubled its economy compared to 8 years ago, because their social contributions are 7 percentage points lower than in Latvia, >>

Dear Mrs. @Braze_Baiba, please tell me why @AndrisKulbergs had to be kicked out head over heels at the last moment because of the Foreign Ministry team's work that was not done on time? You are very lucky that you are still the Minister of Foreign Affairs because of 3/10🤝 https://t.co/Yl5wl8EmfK
From@Braze_BaibaThis morning on TV3 the Prime Minister was outraged and reproaches @Arlietas for Latvia defending its security interests in the EU to the end and being able to impose a veto. He thinks we should have agreed sooner, like the other Balts, to removing the 2 oligarchs from sanctions. That is news to me. Unpleasant. 1/2

🗣️Inese Lībiņa-Egnere, a representative of New Unity, took part in the Delfi TV discussion “Next, please!” about Latvia’s role in the international environment, foreign policy, security and cooperation with allies, also discussing sanctions policy against aggressor states. ➡️Watch more: https://t.co/jnJXnAHiQJ
The negligent fool, who did not even inform the prime minister in time, is now still fiddling with a pod. That is the whole cancer of Unity. https://t.co/DdsKDjI6ew

Such a level, where the country's highest officials publicly exchange reproaches in foreign affairs matters, has never existed in Latvia before.

From@pucejThe coordination of sanctions policy has proven to be beneath all criticism. The Prime Minister, it seems, was the last to learn everything. The Foreign Minister is busy with a campaign. All the years-long claims about how strong personal ties are with Baltic and European politicians have turned out to be just blowing smoke. Latvia had no position at all, and the last-minute awakening proved pointless.

From@Braze_BaibaAnd he is surprised that he has to represent Latvia's interests and the Cabinet-approved position internationally. At the PM's request, I myself sent him and the head of the office, while MFA colleagues sent French colleagues what would be of interest from France in the security field. 2/2

Because public media — Latvian Television and Latvian Radio — have an obligation to organize pre-election debates, to which candidates of all parties are invited. The selection criteria and participation procedures are set by the public media themselves, and the rules are published in advance. That is democracy — with all its pluses and, as in this case, also minuses.
From@elitaveidemaneI don’t understand why the “new Latvian” Stepaņenko is invited to all the shows? She doesn’t answer any question. They might as well invite a nail file or a hallway mirror.

@uldisz Whether such a Šlesers exists or not, that does not change the essence of marriage! Marriage can only be between two people of opposite biological sex. A man and a woman.
