📣 We continue our conversation cycle, but this time about politics not only from the Saeima rostrum, but also behind the scenes. 🎙️ This time I talked with @RaivisDzintars, who was the leader of @VL_TBLNNK from 2010 to 2024, is a 14th Saeima deputy and chair of the National Alliance's Saeima faction. 💬 In this part of the conversation we talked about the significance of the torch procession organised by the National Alliance and patriotism, about why in politics failures often get more attention than accomplishments and achievements, as well as about immigration. In the conversation we also looked back at the brightest memories of a politician's life. #Nacionālāapvienība #RaivisDzintars

These elections will be a fight between democratic values and dangerous populism. Every vote for political forces that clearly stand on the side of the rule of law and democracy can be decisive. https://t.co/lwc3SqxUWJ

Unfortunately, in the National Alliance and the United List, few understand in detail the content and true goals of the Istanbul Convention, so they easily crumble in the face of liberal demagogy. Because they themselves lack arguments. https://t.co/MytwPZFH44

Protest vote! Vote for one of those parties that LTV, Latvian Radio and LSM boycott in the interests of the ruling clique, and therefore do not invite to the pre-election debates. Like and retweet!

Lazy, stupid, incapable and negligent foreign minister. https://t.co/leT6w0Syzs

❗️On the extension of EU sanctions and Latvia's position: 🔹EU sanctions must be strengthened, 🔹national sanctions have been adopted, 🔹reproaches must be addressed to those countries that wanted to remove 2 Russian oligarchs from sanctions, not to Latvia, which was the last of all EU countries to prevent that. https://t.co/nxliy4ZmvM

What times we live in - one has to agree with Lenin's grandson.

Did the government really not know about this and hadn't started addressing it earlier? Late Monday evening: Latvia suddenly halted the decision to remove Fridman and Usmanov from EU sanctions; an emergency Cabinet meeting was called. Tuesday evening: the decision takes effect, Latvia agrees.

SūVara is on LTV1's airwaves. Turns out there is a superhero named Dārznieks who alone is gathering the storm-felled trees in cemeteries. I wonder how many of the 600 downed trees in Riga's 22 cemeteries he has cleared? Strengthening the Latvian language, mandatory service—all bad. Where do so many willows [Kārkli] among Latvians come from?
