From@realvalkovskisWe Change the Rules is the first time in 35 years that Latvian politics has seriously raised and, as far as possible, consistently expressed RIGHT-WING POLITICS based on freedom and responsibility. Right-wing politics is so alien to Latvia that many look at it as an exotic elephant brought into the room. However, the exotic elephant is less exotic than many think. Perhaps it is only returning to Latvia after a long absence. More than one MUCH larger and older country than Latvia has grown all its greatness on the wings of freedom. Therefore, we will gladly keep leading around Latvia the elephant that is not so much exotic as well forgotten, FURTHER. Because WE CHANGE THE RULES.

From@SandisRiekstins“A government of professionals” sounds to me like “a government of insiders.” I have been fighting in Ukraine for the third year in a drone unit, and I think that by Latvian standards I am a professional, but our services (and not only services) have never, anywhere invited me, because I am not “one of their own.”

From@MinPresLatvia is an important partner for a strong Europe, increasing our resilience and support for Ukraine. This afternoon I therefore called my Latvian counterpart Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs to congratulate him on his election victory last weekend. We looked ahead to next week's European Council and talked in particular about our efforts on a modern and affordable EU budget. A budget that is ready for the future, focused on our priorities: increasing our security, strengthening our competitiveness and managing migration. I look forward to our further cooperation.

@janisdombrava @Uckevics Very, very good. This should have been done long ago!🤝👌
From@janisdombravaAlready now border guards and soldiers can use firearms to detain saboteurs and other persons who illegally enter our country, but I will propose amending legal provisions to give greater freedom of action to our state's defenders. Those who guard the state border – border guards, soldiers and other officials – must be confident that they will not be held criminally liable for the lawful use of firearms and special means.

@MinPres Thank you for the call, it was a good, constructive discussion prior to next week's Brussels MFF meetings.
