From@PabriksFor years we in the Baltics warned about Russia's aggressive plans against us and the West at large. We were frequently called trouble makers and no proper action was taken by our allies. Now, positions has changed, but the question still remains did all of us made homework?

16123From@Astridamains@E_Stendzenieks @andrislov @guntarsv Voters' votes are obtained by - voter bribery! And what easier way can there be, if not with benefits, that's where they trade! Thinking how to make the economy develop, rather than suppressing startups from the very beginning, that is hard; it is easier to decide what restrictions, and then wonder why it doesn't work.

All correct, you just haven't fully completed the courses. Tax reduction is not possible until you defeat the communists and take their money away. Those taxes have long been distributed in 'free' services, which the communists happily receive. Otherwise, bad things happen. If taxes are reduced without taking away the communist's 'free' morsel, the communists keep spending, but the state goes bankrupt. I do not want our country to go bankrupt the way the Soviet republics' family did. They were handing everything out for free until they went bankrupt. I urge you to continue lifelong learning and you will eventually get a diploma and receive my congratulations🙂
From@E_Stendzenieks@andrislov @guntarsv I still have slight suspicions that tax reduction is right-wing, but communists try to raise them or in no case reduce them. But that's just how it is, I'll show off...

@JanisIkstens Nowadays, boiling in Twitter for three years and defending one position no longer means that one actually agrees with it.

@MGruskevics @Arlietas @Braze_Baiba How did we get to the point that this was offered as a compromise? Did @Arlietas raise objections in earlier discussion phases?
From@MGruskevics@pucej @Arlietas @Braze_Baiba The process is currently HALTED due to Latvia's objections!

From@liana_langaI inform the public that I have decided to apply to the court of the Republic of Latvia against Aivars Markots for disseminating false information on social media two weeks before the Saeima elections, for defamation, and for insulting my honor and dignity. I have taken the steps necessary for litigation. Markots, like his predecessors in spreading slander, will be able to prove in court that I am a "Cheka provocateur with an FSB background."

Latvia cohosted together with EU🇪🇺 a meeting on #Belarus joined by @Tsihanouskaya and Belarus civil society organisations at #UNGA81 . We thank 🇺🇦🇱🇹🇪🇪🇸🇪🇮🇪 for support. The regime continues repression, supports Russia’s war, and weaponises migration against Europe. https://t.co/XrwAXnKkrR https://t.co/ARCno8Tv9y
From@TsihanouskayaBelarusians are not Russia’s accomplices. Lukashenka’s regime is. Today in New York, I will brief ministers and international partners on how repression at home has enabled aggression abroad. Thank you to Latvia and the EU 🇪🇺, together with Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania, Sweden and Ukraine, for hosting today’s ministerial side event on the margins of #UNGA81, organised in cooperation with our office. The Belarus regime provides territory and infrastructure for Russia’s war, weaponises migration, spreads disinformation and persecutes Belarusians beyond our borders. A sovereign, democratic Belarus would end this complicity and become a reliable neighbour and a source of security for Europe. https://t.co/egrzhkvwSQ

From@andrislovHow incredibly quickly the apostle of the free market learns the state language once he gets to the soft chair of the Ministry of Finance. Yesterday Vītols was still shouting about tax terror and unyielding capitalism, but today he already reverently chants Baiba Bāne's Excel economics dogmas. When Kulbergs proposes to reduce the fuel excise tax, the former libertarian has a short circuit. How? Leave money to the drivers themselves so the economy doesn't stall? Where does the sacred redistribution and revenue plan go? From a fighter against the system to its loyal guard of Excel spreadsheets—that's the real Latvian success story!

@seerojosskakis @ValtsDalbins Russian occupiers have no right to remain. You can invoke all sorts of nonsense, but that doesn't change the fact that they have no right.
From@seerojosskakis@ValtsDalbins I get similar feelings from part of NA's rhetoric. If a 'Latvian Latvia' is associated not only with language and loyalty to the state, but also with direct ethnic composition and the departure of other groups, that is not just cultural protection. Europe's bitter experience already shows where such a path leads.

@ivchix The financial situation there is very sad and continues to worsen. The final outcome is not far off, he can say whatever he wants there.
From@ivchixOne municipality leader, angry at journalists, the opposition, the ministry and everything else, decided that he may therefore use council resources to essentially campaign for himself in the Saeima elections in plain text. This too is probably the use of administrative resources.

From@AndrisKulbergsDay No. 76 in the prime minister's seat (Tuesday) – Cabinet meeting already with -1 minister 😏 I returned from Lapland, but the Cabinet of Ministers has become one minister smaller during this time. 🏛️ Cabinet meeting – getting more and more amusing. The approach of elections can already be felt in almost every coalition partnership. The first government meeting with -1 minister – Uzulnieks is replaced by Augulis, but since Valainis is on a business trip, Augulis actually represented as many as 3 ZZS ministries today. 😄 🌾🚂🇷🇺 grains and Latvian farmers' exports We adopted a decision to increase the railway infrastructure fee for 🇷🇺 grain cargo. Our priority – export of Latvian farmers' products and the competitiveness of our own entrepreneurs. 📏 60 m² of land and the absurdity of bureaucracy Today I learned about yet another bureaucratic nonsense. The state is disposing of 60 m² of land, for which the owner is paid approximately €23, because that is the value of the land. But to carry out this transaction: ➖️ an appraisal costs about €200–300; ➖️ land surveying – another €1000–2000; ➖️ additionally, surveyor costs come on top. This is total nonsense. I tasked the Minister of Justice, Mr. Smiltēns, to immediately look for a solution and remove this unnecessary bureaucracy in cases where such small plots of land are involved. 🚌 €9.8 million to intercity bus operators We adopted a decision to pay bus operators €9.8 million in debt for intercity bus services. This problem has been dragging on unresolved for more than the tenure of two transport ministers of the previous government. At the same time, I tasked the Minister of Transport to bring a long-term solution already in October. Companies must know under what rules to work and how to plan their business further – they cannot live in uncertainty every year. 🎙️ LDDK/LTRK prime ministerial debates @AlvisHermanis1 did not come to the debate. Pity, because this was the right place to defend your ideas and position. I specifically wanted to hear: ➖️ what his plan for Latvia's economic growth is; ➖️ how to attract more investment; ➖️ how to increase Latvia's exports. I also find interesting the publicly voiced reproaches to LDDK and @LTRK_uznemeji about labor migration. Here, however, one should rely on facts, not loud slogans. 📊 Looking at the data on the so-called "pseudo student" problem, it is concentrated in specific universities – and @RostovskisA Turība is not among them. Whereas @darbadeveji itself does not in any way promote illegal migration. Also, for example, the Karavela led by @AndrisBite employs third-country workers legally and in a relatively small volume – mainly because in Latvia there simply are not people willing to do such physically demanding work. 👉 Migration must be discussed seriously. But more importantly – based on data, facts, and the real situation, not statements.

From@Krisjanis_KActually @Braze_Baiba could help the strategic partner here and lobby in Brussels for lifting sanctions against the aggressor state's satellite's mineral fertilizer transit through Latvian ports. Why not? Russian bloody grain calmly rolls to our ports, now @Arlietas already supports removing all sorts of Fridman and Usmanov from the sanctions list, alcohol transit to Russia flourishes... What else to expect? P.S. By the way, Komsomol girl Braže could also calmly join Šlesers' party, judging by her actions she could fit in there very well....

Unwaveringly defends Latvia's interests, first letting out Usmanov's sister and M. Kantor, now Fridman and Usmanov. It is clear about France's and Luxembourg's interests, what are Latvia's interests that are being defended, and just don't need a fairy tale about 2998 bad ones who remained in sanctions thanks to Latvia.

From@liana_langaIn national Latvia, Latvians are the core of the Constitution and the state - the nation-state. But the Progressives don't even understand that, therefore nationality supposedly doesn't matter! I don't remember which of them spewed that the nationality designation was invented by Tsarist Russia. Maybe the Constitution was also invented by Russia? @ernestsd Claims from local producers about the bio-additive are already starting. We'll sort it out, a meeting is planned. There is not only a budget impact.
From@ernestsdWait - bio-additive - zero fiscal impact, the reserve deduction is the same (it will take longer to accumulate the mysterious reserve fund). Only the excise reduction is a direct impact.
