Debt per inhabitant (including infants and the elderly) reached EUR 12,341 in August. That is approximately 6 average gross monthly salaries.

16123I would add that the council does not have the 20 million and has no idea where to get them, but it sure sounds mighty two weeks before the elections.
From@Heinrih5Most likely, the Riga City Council leadership has been taken over by clowns. They sign a contract for 85 million for the repair of the Vanšu Bridge, then only start thinking about what to do with traffic management, then the mayor wants a pontoon bridge for 20 million, the vice-mayor calls it a stupid idea. Just like Briškens with Rail Baltica.

From@DelfiLV"Unity has used repressive structures to repress our supporters for many years," responds the party's prime ministerial candidate Ainārs Šlesers to a question about "Latvia First" donors. The debt keeps growing 📈. At the end of August it reached 22.6 billion EUR.
From@samtinsAs a society and a state, we have no meaning and future if we cannot help in such cases. I condemn and urge everyone else to do so. But at the same time, someone in that damn state apparatus has to find the balls in their pants, and even by trampling all regulations, allocate money for Olīvija's treatment. That is why I live in Latvia, I am a patriot and I pay taxes here, so that in such cases we take care of our own.

From@zvejniekameitaI'm not saying anything, but right now on LTV1 there's a show 'Choose Latvia's future!' Party in focus. The Progressives. What was that saying, a sweet tongue has always been capital, that's about the show's hosts. There hasn't been such a friendly, favorable chat with any party's representatives.

After the Recovery Fund projects, the bar has been set high; anything worse will be criticized by tagging you and Vilnis, who lacks criticism.

I think we need that 49% inheritance tax, that would be really anti-communist 💪💪💰💰💰
From@guntarsvAll correct, you just haven't fully completed the courses. Tax reduction is not possible until you defeat the communists and take their money away. Those taxes have long been distributed in 'free' services, which the communists happily receive. Otherwise, bad things happen. If taxes are reduced without taking away the communist's 'free' morsel, the communists keep spending, but the state goes bankrupt. I do not want our country to go bankrupt the way the Soviet republics' family did. They were handing everything out for free until they went bankrupt. I urge you to continue lifelong learning and you will eventually get a diploma and receive my congratulations🙂
