@io7246 @lindberga22 @Latvijaspilsone Your arrogance only helps us. Go ahead and vote for the experienced professionals of economic downturn, demographic catastrophe and the immigration lobby.

@lindberga22 @Latvijaspilsone Yes, athletes, runners need to push forward, without a shadow of doubt. Interesting, which committee do you hope to get into - the Saeima, of course. The ministry is most likely the Ministry of Education, because they take care of sports. Do ministry employees know that there will soon be a new colleague?

Latvian farmers are also tormented by endless inspectors.

A DEA officer stopped at our farm yesterday, he said “I need to inspect your farm for illegal growing drugs.” I said “Okay, but don’t go in that field over there.” The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, “Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me!” Reaching into his rear pants pocket, the arrogant officer removed his badge and shoved it in my face. “See this badge?! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish…. On any land !! No questions asked or answers given!! Have I made myself clear?…. do you understand?!!” I nodded politely, apologized, and went about my chores. A short time later, I heard loud screams, looked up, and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by my big old mean bull…. With every step the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he’d sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified. I threw down my tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of my lungs “Your badge, show him your freaking BADGE!!”

Mandatory seatbelt use in cars is a harmful decision. Mandatory seatbelts reduce the popularity of driving and the health benefits are much smaller than the losses. And the police have started actively fining for this. https://t.co/F7g6iN3gYm

Mandatory helmets for cycling up to 17 years is the most harmful decision by progressive Briškens. Mandatory helmets reduce the popularity of cycling and the health benefits are much smaller than the losses. And the police have started actively fining children for this. 👎👎👎 https://t.co/HR47LKffwm

In France, 11% of fuel stations have no fuel at all. There are many more where either diesel or petrol is missing. And the price in the rest is already approaching €2.50. Meanwhile, local activists think even worse than excel. We'll reduce taxes, take from hospitals, and fuel will appear in gas stations cheaply. As Brezhnev said, the economy must be economical.

BREAKING: France is running out of fuel. 11% of France's stations nationwide are now out of petrol or diesel, one in nine, with 16% of stations short in Grand Est, 15% in Pays de la Loire, 14% in Occitanie, and 13% in Centre-Val de Loire, per government figures published this morning. The official count only registers a station as short if it has no petrol at all or no diesel at all, so a station out of one grade but holding another is not counted, meaning the real shortage is much larger. French diesel averages €2.406 a litre, about $10.45 a gallon. Europe is facing its worst energy crisis in history.

To help voters make a critical and informed choice in the 15th Saeima elections, Latvian Television offers a series of programs 'Party in Focus', providing a comprehensive insight into party programs and their offers. Based on SKDS public opinion research data, the series includes political forces that reached at least 2% support in early August. This time the program focuses on 'Latvia First'. #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni #Vēlēšanas2026

@suvajevs You should explain where the drone wall went?! Where did the pro-Russian, communist shithead and state defense underminer Sprūds go? In Liepāja apartments? You should just sit quietly and keep your mouth shut, so you don't end up first on the Jekelna stage. 👇

Someday you'll lend me your crystal ball. Meanwhile, we are preparing for work in the Saeima.

@RaivisZeltits @akmens If I didn't have to overcome the 5% barrier and form a coalition, I would agree. The 'moving element' has already made its adjustments when the government changed, now there are exactly 2 unknowns: whether it will be possible to form a government without LPV and without Pro, and whether ASL will gather 2% for state funding.

Listen, Ostrovska! Learn once to take responsibility. The participation of all Kremlin parties in elections, as well as their popularity, is the merit of the current ruling parties. Both not following security and the result of an authoritarian and arrogant leadership style. This comment is also aggression, blaming new parties — how did they dare to establish themselves. One needs to run the country properly, not bow to everyone for positions and money. One must respect the people and simply take care of one's country. That simple. You will not instill in us either guilt or fear with your aggressive comments. Calm down once. Tired of this Soviet-era style wrapped in a democracy shell!

I find it absurd to try to jump into the outcome of an equation with moving elements without reliable data. Then there is no point to the political process, parties, and elections. In elections, one must vote for the program that appeals the most. Everything else is esotericism. Trying to attach yourself to the winner before there have even been elections is Russian politics, not democracy.

@RaivisZeltits @akmens AS will collect a lot at the expense of other centrist parties, so both JV, ZZS, and LA risk staying below 5%, NA needs as much as possible to even be possible to form a right-center, European government. In another situation, I really would have no objections if part voted for ASL.

I don't know what you represent, in principle it doesn't matter whether MMN or that sun, but it's bad that currently objectively with yourself you promote LPV and PRO to slip into coalition more than themselves. Respectively, the situation that you won't be in the Saeima, but % will take away from those who have done, is the worst that can be.

"Debt obligation" in the CVK questionnaire is most often just a regular loan. There are not many people nowadays who haven't taken some loan with a payment term - if someone can buy a car or purchase a home without a loan, I sincerely congratulate them. CVK questionnaires do not distinguish a regular loan from arrears - it's all under the concept of debt obligations. I think it should be separated, because it confuses voters and doesn't give the most essential information. I myself have never in my life missed any payment.

@sanchopans82 I looked, almost everyone has debt obligations in the thousands?!

Today, together with the Latvian National Soldiers' Association, we commemorated the air force auxiliaries – young boys who were conscripted into the German army during World War II. In the tragedy of 19 September 1944 at Māras dīķis, the Red aviation bombed and killed more than 40 boys. They are buried in a separate section of the Brothers' Cemetery. In my speech, I pointed out the tragedy of that era, emphasizing that today we have the honour and opportunity to serve in our country's uniform and under our own flag, which these boys did not have. The event had few young people, which makes one think about the rupture of historical memory as the World War II generation passes away. I believe that school youth should participate in such events to appreciate what peace and independence mean, which are not self-evident things. After all, the enemy in the east is the same – just in a different form. After the moment of remembrance, we also laid flowers for those Latvian officers who committed suicide in 1940, expressing their resistance to the fact of occupation, and also at Mother Latvia.

Internal affairs and defense services are shoulder to shoulder learning to protect our country! In other years I have participated in the military exercise "Namejs" as a National Guard soldier. This year I am an observer, to see how effectively internal affairs services (firefighters, border guards and police) can work together with the Latvian army and allied forces. The exercises are still ongoing. Let us support our people who are working to ensure our country is safe.

I understand that the security situation in Latvia is more stable than in Lithuania, Poland and even France, and both Macron and Tusk may be panicking a bit. But if even the Lithuanians know that if “everything breaks down”, they have routes towards the Polish corridor, what corridors do we have here in Latvia, including for the residents of Riga? How will people learn about them and when? Which radio frequency will we need to listen to? What will be the action scenario if the Suwałki Corridor is nevertheless closed? Will it be Kurzeme Cauldron 2, only this time for ourselves? And this is not about fleeing, but about the planned evacuation of that part of society that will need to be protected from hostilities. I know what I will do and what I must do, but there is a part of society for whom this is not clear. Communication with the public by @edgarsrinkevics and @AndrisKulbergs from the services no longer seems sufficient, because the claim that “the security situation is unchanged” no longer correlates with statements by other national leaders. I believe @nbskomandieris that the NBS is ready for provocations, but society itself must also be ready for these provocations. Leaders of other countries now speak not only of drone but also of “missile incidents”, and that is something new, because missiles have a completely different radius of destruction and consequences. It must be brought to public awareness that the situation has changed, and it must be ready for these new changes. Ready with faith in its State.
