Today the first combat vehicle “Mednieks” adapted specifically for our country was handed over to the National Armed Forces. By 2029, the armed forces will receive 84 such vehicles. In Valmiera, next to the existing “Patria Latvia” plant, another one will be built, which will also carry out maintenance and repairs of military equipment. Already now border guards and soldiers can use firearms to detain saboteurs and other persons who illegally enter our country, but I will propose amending legal provisions to give greater freedom of action to our state's defenders. Those who guard the state border – border guards, soldiers and other officials – must be confident that they will not be held criminally liable for the lawful use of firearms and special means.

As is known - Sarmīte Ēlerte is an active JV behind-the-scenes worker, unofficial JV propaganda minister. And here we come to perhaps the most important question - there was no doubt about Ragozins' activities from the very beginning. Which ruling party “did not notice” all these years and did nothing to drive Ragozins out, to identify his accomplices? Yes, exactly the same party that did not notice manganese ore and Russian grain transit - “Jaunā Vienotība”.
Representatives of this party must not be allowed anywhere near state foreign affairs or state security. Or pretend that we “do not see” it.

As the urban environment and the pace at which developers work continue to develop, we must think about how to responsibly, valuably for society, thoughtfully, qualitatively and respectfully shape the environment around us and coexist with existing cultural values and heritage. A qualitatively and thoughtfully built environment also creates additional economic value, and the buildings created today will be a legacy for future generations. The law will force a long-term perspective and help monitor the quality of public and private investments.

📐✏️Today, the Architecture draft law was advanced in the Saeima State Administration and Municipalities Commission meeting. I emphasized the necessity of the law and regard it as a significant contribution to the long-term interests of the whole society.
