From my own experience in committee work, as well as the last two budget-building processes, I can say that @KasparsGorkss is one of the most knowledgeable people on business environment and public administration issues. It is rare that such a high-level former athlete can retrain into such a strong specialist in a completely unrelated field. Given that public administration reform will be one of the three main government priorities, IMO Kaspars is the right man, in the right place, at the right time + also an enviably good orator.. 💪
A thought, maybe even an interesting one. Image, public perception, ability to use social media communication for one's own goals. But what about those real cooperation abilities and grabbing clothes when it is not about one field, but everything possible? Of course, let's wait and see...

Andris Kulbergs' planned changes to state finances mean seriously reviewing public procurement and merging not only ministries but many other institutions, Edgars Tavars claims.
Do I remember correctly — Kaspars Gorkšs is a footballer? How did he manage to get into the leadership of LDDK and now the leadership of the State Chancellery? How?
If an agreement cannot be reached on a coalition that includes “Latvia First”, party board chairman Ainārs Šlesers stresses that the party will nevertheless give its 17 votes to a minority Cabinet of Ministers formed by Andris Kulbergs, so that AS can implement its programme.
Ļubova Švecova (Sovereign Power/Union of Young Latvians) does not rule out that the United List would currently like to freeze the question of the future of the Istanbul Convention.
We are definitely in a position where all state functions must be reorganised, says National Alliance leader Ilze Indriksone, commenting on possible cooperation with the election-winning United List.
Andris Kulbergs will talk with all parties represented in the Saeima, but that does not mean the talks will be about cooperation in the government; the talks may be about cooperation in the Saeima, says Edgars Tavars.
Ainārs Šlesers, leader of “Latvija pirmajā vietā” (LPV), thinks that the result obtained by the “Apvienotais saraksts” indicates desperation and a huge demand for change. In his opinion, LPV and the “Apvienotais saraksts” have 70% in common.
We have no red lines against the United List, nor against the National Alliance, nor against the Progressives, but the negotiations are led by the United List and Andris Kulbergs, says Edmunds Jurēvics from New Unity.
The program is rather broad, but for the prime minister's position Andris Kulbergs will offer more specificity, while maintaining the vector outlined in the program, says Edgars Tavars (AS).
Today the first combat vehicle “Mednieks” adapted specifically for our country was handed over to the National Armed Forces. By 2029, the armed forces will receive 84 such vehicles. In Valmiera, next to the existing “Patria Latvia” plant, another one will be built, which will also carry out maintenance and repairs of military equipment. The new plant will also provide additional jobs and a contribution to the region’s economy.

@Braze_Baiba@Latvian_MFA@SecRubio@USEmbassyRiga@Latvia_USA well, it’s not like that letter expressed some huge support and/or hope that you’ll stay in office.. Marko didn’t even name you, he just said he received your letter requesting a meeting, but he has neither time nor interest.. that’s just it, in essence
The State Border Guard must have the right to use a weapon on the spot at its own security discretion. The main task is to protect the Latvian state border and not allow anyone to cross it! https://t.co/M2hNlAauo6
Already now border guards and soldiers can use firearms to detain saboteurs and other persons who illegally enter our country, but I will propose amending legal provisions to give greater freedom of action to our state's defenders. Those who guard the state border – border guards, soldiers and other officials – must be confident that they will not be held criminally liable for the lawful use of firearms and special means.
